A 12-part drama called "Hospital Playlist" broadcast on tvN from March 12 to May 28, 2020. The plot revolves around the chemistry between friends who have known each other for 20 years merely by looking into each other's eyes and those who live their daily lives in a hospital termed a more miniature replica of their lives. The "Hospital Playlist" on tvN has gained widespread support from viewers of all ages and generations and consistently receives high ratings.

The weekly collection not only introduced a novel viewing pattern dubbed the season system, but the fans' adoration for the 99s character stood out above all other works. What sort of drama is "Hospital Playlist" then?

1. ‘Hospital Playlist’ Plot and Characters

In the drama "Hospital Playlist," characters in a hospital are depicted as living everyday lives daily, along with their 20-year-old acquaintances, who can be recognized merely by gazing into their eyes. The final episode of "Wise Doctor's Life Season 1," which debuted in March 2020 and had a viewer rating of 14.1% (based on paid households across the country in Nielsen Korea), was very well received.

Kim Joon-hwan (Jung Kyung-ho): Director and Associate Professor of Thoracic Surgery

He is the infamous cardiothoracic surgery psychopath who exclusively helps medical students. Residents and patients alike refer to the doctor of Satan as the devil. His college peers, Kwanghyun, other medical professionals, and patients all describe him as "no pricks," but when he is in front of Songhwa, he transforms into a gentle sheep. My dream is to start a typical family, but it hasn't happened through a quick love affair. He is the epitome of tsundere, contrary to the initial impression.

Ahn Jung-won (Yoo Yeon-seok): Assistant Professor of Pediatric Surgery

He has an angelic demeanor and is superior to Mencius, Confucius, and Schweitzer. Despite being a maternal religion, Catholicism, he goes by the appellation "Buddha." The warmth of the garden provides both comfort and optimism during pediatric surgery, where the mind presents more challenges than the body. He is a doctor who is 20 years old, but he has never lost his temper with patients, parents, or even other doctors. His "buddha idea," though, does not hold water with his five medical colleagues. He owns Yulje Hospital and is the youngest son of the chairman of the Yulje Group, yet he is very thrifty for Jebeol II. Even first-time brides are attractive enough to be liked, and they spend the rest of their lives living out the bride's fantasy before engaging in romantic relationships when they are over 40.

Yang Seok-hyung as Kim Dae-myung: Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology

He is an enigmatic outsider, a recluse, and the definition of sloth, which is magnificent to breathe and live. A 40-year-old mama boy who constantly says "mom, mom" chooses to respond to calls through Kakao Talk because he finds it uncomfortable to speak to other people. Seok-Hyung is the only person in the hospital who cheerfully accepts someone's tears; she also has the least joyous expression in the obstetrics and gynecology division, where the mystery of birth and the wonder of life shine gloriously. She is petite and appears girlish, but on the inside, she is full and hard. She is the only female professor of neurosurgery, a self-employed woman with a hospital build who is admired by her underclassmen for her magnetic personality. She diligently reads her juniors' papers despite her busy schedule and arrives first for emergency surgery. She possesses a lot of intelligence and smarts. Hospitals, patients, and papers make up her life.

2. Planning Intention

This is the story of our daily lives, which is expressed in medical terms but is actually interpreted as Life. It is asserted to be a tale of human existence. At the age of forty, they cross paths once more in many facets of life. They simply like hanging out with their young buddies and find solace in the fact that they have the same difficulties. In their 40th year of life, they are still experiencing growing pains, learning, being sick, and maturing in hospitals. This is true even though they have been specialists for ten years.

"Our Ordinary Little Special Daily" is a sentence that captures the theme of this work, just like the phrase on the original poster. In contrast to earlier medical dramas, this one is more concerned with the tale of friendship or mankind as a whole.

Producer Shin Won-prior ho's work smashed rating records in five episodes, placing first in the Seoul metropolitan area, second nationally among tvN's weekly dramas, and sixth among all dramas as of the airing date.

The emphasis was on the friendship and humanity of colleagues, as opposed to traditional medical dramas that deal with pain after an operation and conflict among doctors.  There is a balance between seriousness, humor, and wit. Many claims that despite the fact that his role as a doctor shines out, the drama emphasizes the efforts made to prevent character collapse by gradually revealing each character's uniqueness.

Wise Doctor Life is a popular drama among doctors, and doctors' ratings are the greatest among all-time medical dramas, according to a media outlet's survey of 1,002 doctors, 83.1% of them indicated they had "watched Wise Doctor Life."

4. Digression 

It is the first drama in which Jeon Mi-do appears. Jeon mido, who also appeared in "Prison Playbook," is regarded as the drama's best excavation, along with Park Hae-soo.
