"The Interest of Love" is a melodrama about people with disparate hobbies meeting and discovering the true meaning of "love." The story of the four male and female protagonists' "love," "development," and "everyday life" were sensitively and honestly conveyed, eliciting sympathy.
The work is based on Lee Hyuk-novel jin's "The Interest of Love." "The original has far more realistic lines," observed Yoo Yeon-seok, who first met it. The writer also included a lot of phrases in the play that I can identify. They tried to save the original because it contains many fantastic phrases and lines. The filmmaker was also aware of this. He stated that he does not want to hear that "Taste of Ambassador" falls short of the original. As a result, it's a drama on the one hand, but there must have been occasions when you felt like you were watching a novel on the other. "I think certain points lived well because of the delicate manufacture," he remarked.

1. 1. The plot of the drama "The Interest of Love".

The drama "The Interest of Love" takes place in a time when bank interest is more important than love. Those who fall in love, on the other hand, imagine how wonderful it would be if love were like installment savings. While the principal is guaranteed, interest accumulates over time and, when it expires, it rises to meet the interest rate and can be returned accurately. Love, on the other hand, is the most volatile investment product in existence. We must be prepared to lose principal as well as interest. It's a risky bet that will leave you heartbroken.

The drama's major setting is KCU Bank's Yeongpo branch, which is celebrating its 99th anniversary. Ha Sang-soo, Ahn Soo-young, Park Mi-kyung, and Jung Jong-hyun, who work at the bank on the boundary of Gangbuk and Gangnam, as well as the financial area and the market, are also dating at work. Their love isn't as lovely as it is in fairy tales and movies. They hesitate, sway, falter, and even wish to flee for personal reasons. They struggle with love but yearn for complete love.

"The Interest of Love" audience members engaged in intense debates and "over-immersion" with the main characters. "It's not a love story that transcends time and space, or a story with dramatic scenarios," Yoo Yeon-seok explained. I could see the story while sympathizing with it. There were numerous realistic situations that may happen around me. "I believe that's why the viewers sympathized more and had a passionate debate," he explained.

On some days, I'm as immature as Ma Daeri, but on others, I'm as deep as Sangsu. I'm not sure what's real, and I can't figure it out.

3. Planning intentions and Theme consciousness

The original is the inspiration for the novel of the same name. The media industry is currently adapting existing works based on webtoons and novels and turning them into movies or dramas. Because the public is already aware of the original story, this adaptation ensures a certain level of buzz. In many ways, it is also more efficient than developing fresh inventions because the expense of creating new scenarios is lowered.

"Love makes us naked," remarked Lee Hyuk-jin, author of the original novel "The Interest of Love." I believe the sentence accurately conveys my views." He then added, "In truth, there are no things that can show us in society or in reality, and we must do more, and I believe love is a feeling that disappears if we do not take off our garments and hold on to them, and I believe it is a portion that shows those things in a sharp manner. That is a fundamental emotion that can be the only or only effective treatment for such vulgarity or class problems "He stated.

He stated, "Rather than being split into males and women, I thought they were meaningful in their own right. Therefore he established two primary characters: Sangsu, a man, who becomes a person who finds and understands love from a realistic perspective, and Suyeong, who was initially confident in love, but who continues to be tested and challenged in their reality. Both characters continued to believe that it was a story of perplexity and failure in that regard."

"I enjoyed watching the novel, but it has a stem and skeleton because it is a single book, but there were many sections to fill in to make it a 16-episode mini-series," said producer Cho Young-min, director of the drama “The Interest of Love.” "I considered what episodes to include with the writers and what kinds of stories to discuss inside the larger stem," he explained. "Those who read the original book and pay attention to the character intricacies will notice a change."

"First and foremost, our drama involves eyes that come and go to each other since all four persons are in a little space called a branch of the bank," he added. I wondered if there was a play in which everyone gathered and worked in such a little location. I believe the eyes and changing emotions that come and go in that small space set it apart from other dramas." I think the interlaced elements according to the class at the bank are distinct from other dramas," he said of an in-house love story.

4. Difference between a real character and a drama

Because the original text is fiction, there are numerous portions where the feelings of the major characters are honestly expressed as they are from the author's perspective. There have also been numerous reader reviews stating that it is a really realistic love story. TV dramas, on the other hand, are distinguished by phrases that appear to be rather vague about the relationship between the major characters.

Furthermore, two words in Chinese characters appear next to the Korean title of Understanding Love on the book cover of “The Interest of Love”. In addition to the sense of love, the novel describes the tension and anxiety over the main characters' true understanding (benefit and loss). Also, the material is the same as the original, but there are minor modifications in the details.

At the production presentation, director Cho Young-min lauded the original characters and actors, adding, “The synchro rate is 100%.” Although the actual characters' jobs, personalities, and dating tactics may alter, the visual match between the original characters and the actors is reported to be excellent for both producers and viewers.

5. Evaluation

Geum Sae-rok began her career as a small character in the film "Hae-hwa," then six years later, in 2022, she was cast as the main character with the film's male protagonist, Yoo Yeon-seok.

"If I had a pure or one-sided love with my previous role, this time I will convey a more realistic and complicated love," Yoo Yeon-seok remarked. "If I have performed lively and expressively, I will portray a new side of myself with a condensed character this time," Moon Ga-young added, adding, “I read a comment stating, 'Woozy Moon Ga-young.' I was happy that you watched it well.” "I attempted to communicate and express what I felt in accordance with the unadorned love narrative," he added to his curiosity.

"There were many sequences that portrayed painful feelings, but Moon Ga-positive young's cheerful virus cheered me up every time I filmed," Yoo Yeon-seok explained, adding, "Furthermore, after rehearsing with the director's supervision, Moon Ga-young's expression was convincing as a constant." "That was incredible. I was able to follow it since I was able to articulate the fine emotions of swimming well "He was pleased.

"I said you followed me, but I relied on him a lot," Moon Ga-young responded, adding, “There were many times when I had a long god and delicate emotions, so I felt like I didn't have to say a long word, but I enjoyed acting while looking into Yoo Yeon-seok's eyes.”
