"The Interest of Love," ranked eighth in Netflix's weekly drama rankings, is a melodrama in which people with diverse interests meet to learn the meaning of true "love" and portrays the narrative of bankers' in-house love.

It was a JTBC drama that aired from December 21, 2022, to February 9, 2023. Every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 p.m., it is broadcast. Producer Cho Young-min was in charge of directing, and scriptwriters Lee Seo-hyun and Lee Hyun-jung were in order of writing. It comprises 16 episodes divided into the romance, office, and drama genres.

"The Interest of Love" is a melodrama about people with disparate hobbies meeting and discovering the true meaning of "love." The story of the four male and female protagonists' "love," "development," and "everyday life" were sensitively and honestly conveyed, eliciting sympathy.
The work is based on Lee Hyuk-novel jin's "The Interest of Love." "The original has far more realistic lines," observed Yoo Yeon-seok, who first met it. The writer also included a lot of phrases in the play that I can identify. They tried to save the original because it contains many fantastic phrases and lines. The filmmaker was also aware of this. He stated that he does not want to hear that "Taste of Ambassador" falls short of the original. As a result, it's a drama on the one hand, but there must have been occasions when you felt like you were watching a novel on the other. The drama "The Interest of Love" takes place in a time when bank interest is more important than love. Those who fall in love, on the other hand, imagine how wonderful it would be if love were like installment savings. While the principal is guaranteed, interest accumulates over time and, when it expires, it rises to meet the interest rate and can be returned accurately. Love, on the other hand, is the most volatile investment product in existence. We must be prepared to lose principal as well as interest. It's a risky bet that will leave you heartbroken.

The drama's major setting is KCU Bank's Yeongpo branch, which is celebrating its 99th anniversary. Ha Sang-soo, Ahn Soo-young, Park Mi-kyung, and Jung Jong-hyun, who work at the bank on the boundary of Gangbuk and Gangnam, as well as the financial area and the market, are also dating at work. Their love isn't as lovely as it is in fairy tales and movies. They hesitate, sway, falter, and even wish to flee for personal reasons. They struggle with love but yearn for complete love.

"I enjoyed watching the novel, but it has a stem and skeleton because it is a single book, but there were many sections to fill in to make it a 16-episode mini-series," said producer Cho Young-min, director of the drama “The Interest of Love.” "I considered what episodes to include with the writers and what kinds of stories to discuss inside the larger stem," he explained. "Those who read the original book and pay attention to the character intricacies will notice a change."

"First and foremost, our drama involves eyes that come and go to each other since all four persons are in a little space called a branch of the bank," he added. At the production presentation, director Cho Young-min lauded the original characters and actors, adding, “The synchro rate is 100%.” Although the actual characters' jobs, personalities, and dating tactics may alter, the visual match between the original characters and the actors is reported to be excellent for both producers and viewers.

Geum Sae-rok began her career as a small character in the film "Hae-hwa," then six years later, in 2022, she was cast as the main character with the film's male protagonist, Yoo Yeon-seok.
