Twice and Coldplay Unite for Powerful ‘WE PRAY (TWICE Version)’ Collaboration

On June 16, global K-pop sensation Twice joined legendary British band Coldplay on stage at the Goyang Sports Complex in Goyang, South Korea, delivering an electric performance as part of the ‘Coldplay [Music Of The Spheres World Tour]’ concert series. The two powerhouses teamed up alongside Chilean singer-songwriter Elyanna, igniting the stage with their collaborative version of Coldplay’s newest single, WE PRAY.

The concert marked the beginning of Coldplay’s six-show tour in Korea, with Twice stealing the spotlight as opening performers for the first night. Starting at 6:45 PM, Twice captivated the crowd for 45 minutes with a parade of their biggest hits, electrifying the stadium with their flawless vocals and high-energy choreography. The audience joined in song, regardless of age or gender, creating an unforgettable opening atmosphere.

The magical highlight of the night came when the three artists came together to perform WE PRAY in a cross-cultural medley. Adding a unique touch, Twice incorporated Korean-language lyrics such as “어둠 속에서 실 같은 불빛 한 줌 내려주지 않아도”, “홀로 피어 나오길 새어나오길”, and “깨어나 마침내 새벽이 오면 저 길 끝에서 결국엔 웃고 있을까,” delivering a message of hope and resilience through the universal language of music.

The collaboration, officially titled WE PRAY (TWICE Version), was released on major music streaming platforms at midnight on June 18. In a press statement, Twice members shared, “’WE PRAY’ is a meaningful song that tells a story of overcoming hardships together and delivering peace and hope. It was especially meaningful for us to sing this song in Korean as part of a collaboration with Coldplay.”

Twice is scheduled to continue as Coldplay’s special guest throughout the Korea leg of the tour, supporting shows on June 18, 19, 22, 24, and 25. This marks Coldplay’s second visit to Korea, and demand for the concerts remains high. Tickets for the final performances are available through official ticketing provider Interpark Ticket.
