The Divorce Insurance: Tensions Rise as Truth Unfolds in Episode 9
The latest episode of the Monday-Tuesday drama on tvN, The Divorce Insurance, which aired on the 28th, brought intense revelations and emotional breakthroughs. Episode 9 delivered high drama as relationships were tested and trust was shattered and mended all in one night.
Jeon Narae (played by Lee Da-hee) bravely confessed the truth, clearing Kang Han-deul (Lee Joo-bin) of the false accusation of leaking sensitive data. With this revelation, the TF Team narrowly avoided a complete disbandment. As pressure mounted, Nogi-jun (Lee Dong-wook), Han-deul, Ahn Jeon-man (Lee Kwang-soo), and Narae found strength in sincerity, drawing closer through shared adversities.
The shock deepened when Jeon Narae revealed that Best Fire had formally requested permission to release The Divorce Insurance, a move that caught everyone off guard. This unexpected development intensified the turmoil within the TF Team.
Kang Han-deul was subjected to an internal investigation by the compliance team, accused of the data breach. Meanwhile, Jeon-man overheard Narae and Vice President Jung Jung-chi (Kim Kwang-sik) discussing how Narae used the divorce insurance as a strategy to transfer to a China-based subsidiary, further complicating the situation.
In a critical moment, Ahn Jeon-man offered Narae heartfelt encouragement outside his professional demeanor, saying, “Just take a leap and follow your true feelings,” prompting her to finally open up and confess the complete truth to the team.
Thanks to her honesty and Han-deul’s alibi—she had been holding a memorial service in Gorangae Village during the leak—the truth unraveled. The team identified the mysterious man involved in the scheme as Team Leader Oh Jung-do (Park Si-hwan), who had conspired with Vice President Jung to pass confidential documents to Best Fire.
After a high-stakes pursuit, Jung-do was cornered and confessed under pressure. With the evidence he supplied, Jung was officially handed over to the compliance department, finally closing the major leak case.
In a more tender moment, Ahn Jeon-man comforted Narae, who lamented being “truly alone starting tomorrow,” by holding her hand and revealing his growing affection. Meanwhile, Nogi-jun and Han-deul slowly began warming up to each other as walls came down.
To lift her spirits, Nogi-jun surprised Han-deul by transforming her barren home into a twinkling Christmas haven. There, the two shared vulnerable conversations about their families, especially the pain of parental disapproval, drawing them even closer emotionally.
As the now revitalized TF Team stepped into their next mission, they were visited by Kim Sun-man (Bae Yu-ram) from the Financial Supervisory Service. Known as a model husband to a popular influencer, his request initially seemed simple. However, things took a serious turn when he confessed that their marriage had been a façade.
Kang Han-deul starkly concluded, “This can’t be fixed. Kim Sun-man and Han Yeoreum must get divorced,” cleverly setting the stage for Episode 10’s emotional rollercoaster. The Divorce Insurance continues tonight at 8:50 PM KST on tvN.
