NCT’s Chenle Reaches No.1 with Chinese Special Album ‘Lucid’

Chenle from NCT DREAM achieves solo success in China topping QQ Music charts with Lucid

Chenle, a member of K-pop sensation NCT and its subunit NCT DREAM, has made a remarkable solo debut in China. His Chinese special album ‘Lucid’ soared to No.1 on the QQ Music Digital Album Sales Chart upon its pre-sale launch on April 28, and repeated the feat on May 5, the day of its official release.

The title track ‘Lucid’ not only topped QQ Music’s album charts but also clinched the No.1 spot on the Chinese Music Video Chart, reaffirming Chenle’s growing popularity across local fans.

This special album features three Mandarin-language tracks: the emotional title song ‘Lucid’, a reinterpretation of the original soundtrack ‘Tear Bridge’ from the well-loved Chinese drama Meet Yourself, and ‘Cosmic Joke’, which includes vocals from Chinese singer Zhou Bichang.

The project is a joint endeavor with Tencent Entertainment, showcasing SM Entertainment’s evolving efforts to localize their artists’ content for the Chinese market.

‘Lucid’ paints a story of solitude and the radiant moment one arrives at after enduring loneliness. Rich string arrangements that burst through the silence, combined with Chenle’s evocative high notes, deliver a profound emotional resonance. Fans can experience this unique artistry through the music video available on both NCT and NCT DREAM‘s official YouTube channels.

Meanwhile, NCT DREAM is set for a summer comeback in July with a new album and will hold their fourth exclusive concert from July 10–12 at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
