Kihyun’s Culinary Journey to Portugal

In a recent episode of E-Channel’s ‘Ryus Student Eonamseon’, MONSTA X’s Kihyun captured viewers’ hearts once more with his impressive cooking skills, proving that his talents extend far beyond music.

During the broadcast, Kihyun embarked on a three-day culinary adventure in Porto, Portugal, culminating in a meticulously prepared farewell meal. In an interview, he confidently declared, “Portuguese cuisine is a survival game,” adding that “only one flavor survives in a survival game.” His words set the stage for his culinary creation.

The Final Challenge: Korean Fusion ‘Ryuak’ Meal

On the final day in Porto, Kihyun chose to prepare Jeyuk Bokkeum as his ‘Ryuak’ meal. Inspired by the numerous rave reviews of Ryusuyoung’s Jeyuk Bokkeum recipe on social media, Kihyun envisioned a Korean-style dish served with bread, reminiscent of the Portuguese ‘Bifana’ he enjoyed earlier.

Kihyun successfully recreated Ryusuyoung’s recipe, enhancing it with rose sauce by adding cream—a creative twist to captivate local taste buds. By incorporating suggestions from actor Yoon Kyungho and the crew, he perfected the dish with added peri-peri sauce, taking it to new heights.
