MiSaMo Drops Heartfelt OST ‘Message’ for Japanese Film Adaptation

Twice subunit MiSaMo unveils new OST Message for Kakukaku Shikajika movie release

Twice’s first official subunit MiSaMo, comprised of Mina, Sana, and Momo, has released their new OST track titled ‘Message’ for the upcoming Japanese film ‘Kakukaku Shikajika’.

Released on April 28 at midnight Japan time, the song captures a delicate blend of warmth and melancholy. It sets an emotional tone aligned with the visual motif designed by the film’s screenwriter and original manga artist, Akiko Higashimura. The jacket image features a serene moment of a main character staring at the sea under a clear sky, evoking quiet reflection. MiSaMo’s soothing vocals enhance the film’s emotional pull.

A special video released via Twice’s Japan official social media channels adds depth to the experience by integrating original illustrations from the manga alongside the soundtrack, creating a rich multimedia storytelling crossover.

The film ‘Kakukaku Shikajika’, based on the award-winning manga of the same name, is slated for release in Japan on May 16. Meanwhile, the OST ‘Message’ is now available on major music platforms.

Following a successful debut, MiSaMo completed their first-ever dome tour ‘MISAMO JAPAN DOME TOUR 2024 “HAUTE COUTURE”‘ earlier this year, performing six shows across three major cities and attracting 250,000 fans total. Notably, they reached Tokyo Dome just 18 months after their Japanese debut—setting a record for the fastest entry by a female artist group.

Twice is also set to release their fifth Japanese best album ‘#TWICE5’ on May 14, featuring Japanese versions of hits like ‘Talk that Talk’, ‘SET ME FREE’, and ‘ONE SPARK’.

Adding to their ever-expanding global presence, Twice will headline ‘Lollapalooza Chicago’ on August 2, bringing their infectious energy to one of the biggest music festivals in the U.S.
