Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwaktube Embark on a Flavorful Adventure in Incheon with YouTuber Pani Bottle
The South Korean food-travel series ‘Jeon Hyun-moo’s Plan 2’ (produced by MBN and Channel S) delivered yet another tantalizing episode on June 2nd. In the 27th installment, renowned host Jeon Hyun-moo and YouTube star Kwaktube (Kwak Jun-bin), teamed up with Korea’s top travel YouTuber, Pani Bottle, as they set out for their 43rd culinary journey — this time, back to Incheon.
Guided by viewers’ direct messages, the crew embarked on a local food tour that highlighted traditional spots: from an 81-year-old tool market offering legendary hangover soup to an iconic tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) destination, and finally, a 43-year-old seafood eatery serving fresh cod soup. The journey not only pleased the palate but also offered viewers a hefty dose of healing and food knowledge.
The culinary excursion kicked off with Jeon proclaiming, “First meal must be Gukbap (rice soup)!” at a famed hangover soup restaurant in the tool market area. Jeon and Kwaktube indulged in a hearty bowl of “ugeoji haejangguk,” slurping the greens like noodles and gnawing on bones with raw enthusiasm. Kwaktube then teased, “I brought my foodie friend — someone who stands shoulder to shoulder with Song Joong-ki, Lee Je-hoon, and aespa.”
Enter Pani Bottle: He joined them at a famed tteokbokki spot with 61 groups waiting in line. Once seated, they ordered “Gongdan Tteokbokki” and “Stir-fried rice cake” — only to be shocked by the orange color and peculiar taste. Jeon responded with genuine surprise: “This is interesting!” while Kwaktube praised the texture. Pani Bottle, ever inexperienced, amusingly questioned the flavor profile: “Why does it smell like rice?” — a line that left everyone in stitches.
Next stop: a legendary seafood spot with a 43-year legacy. Jeon quickly ordered stir-fried cod intestines, an insider favorite. The trio paired the rich dish of cod liver and stomach with a local rice wine, ending in a round of applause. The highlight was the fresh cod soup — Jeon, overwhelmed with emotion, finally fulfilled his dream of trying it on the show, calling the experience “unforgettable.”
Kwaktube mixed rice into the stir-fry and suggested adding seaweed and sesame oil, prompting Pani Bottle to compare him to a gourmet. Jeon, ever the purist, insisted the dish should be enjoyed as-is — sparking further debate and laughter when Pani claimed, “Chef An Sung-jae must not know flavor if he skips seaweed!”
This flavorful hunt for Incheon’s best-kept food secrets continues on ‘Jeon Hyun-moo’s Plan 2’. Don’t miss episode 28 airing Friday, June 9 at 9:10 PM on MBN and Channel S.
