Heo Sung-tae and Lee Sang-yi Share Untold Stories About Park Bo-gum and More on ‘I Miss You, Hwahwa & Hoyoung’
Get ready for heartwarming bromance and behind-the-scenes fun as actors Heo Sung-tae and Lee Sang-yi grace episode 10 of ENA’s variety show ‘I Miss You, Hwahwa & Hoyoung’, airing this Sunday at 9:20 PM KST.
The duo, who first met while filming the movie ‘Hitman’ and later reunited for the drama ‘Good Boy’, showcase their close friendship on screen. Heo Sung-tae introduces a nostalgic eatery from his corporate days, where he used to relax with coworkers, leaving both hosts Choi Hwa-jung and Kim Ho-young eager to try the comforting flavors.
During the conversation, Lee Sang-yi shares a touching anecdote involving their current co-star Park Bo-gum. He recalls a tense underwater filming scene, saying, “Bo-gum comforted me, saying, ‘I got you, don’t worry.’” After filming, Park Bo-gum was found quietly cleaning the shower space they had used. “He even tidies up the tableware after meals. His manners are just part of who he is,” Lee praised, calling Bo-gum “a beautiful person.”
Heo Sung-tae continues the adoration by revealing that Bo-gum once gifted him a jacket he casually complimented during shooting. Surprised, Lee chimes in, “Wait—he gave you one too? I thought I was the only one!”
Known for his phenomenal role in ‘Squid Game’, Heo shares how he gained 17kg in a month for the part, following direction from Hwang Dong-hyuk. He also discusses his viral skit as “Hurricane” on Saturday Night Live, which landed him a spot in a video for PSY’s “Drenched Show.”
As for Lee Sang-yi, he dug into his past to share how he once won a UCC competition performing Jung Ji-hoon (Rain)’s “Rainism.” He even breaks into the choreography during their meal at the hosts’ request, radiating fanboy glee.
