BTS Leader RM Hints at Imminent Military Discharge
The long wait for BTS fans may soon be over. RM, the leader of the global K-pop sensation BTS, has signaled that his mandatory military service is nearing its end.
On June 1, RM took to Instagram to share an image displaying a digital countdown, with the caption: “I’ll be out soon!” The screen featured a cheerful message: “Dear Malnyeon (senior soldier), only 40 days left until discharge! Hang in there. You can leave soon!”
RM, who enlisted in December 2023, is scheduled to be officially discharged on June 10, 2024. On the same day, fellow member V is also expected to complete his military duties. Jimin and Jung Kook, who enlisted just one day later, are set for discharge on June 11.
Adding to the excitement, SUGA, who is fulfilling his service through an alternative social work assignment, is set to conclude his duties on June 21.
BTS fans around the world are eagerly awaiting these pivotal dates as hopes rise for a full-group comeback. With their military commitments coming to a close, the possibility of a return to the global stage is becoming increasingly real.
