BTS’ Jin Stuns Fans With Action-Packed Performance and Visuals in ‘Run, Jin’
BTS member Jin has once again captivated global audiences with his extraordinary acting chops and ‘god of beauty’ visuals, showcased in his solo content series, Run, Jin EP.33 titled Jin Wick.
On June 6, the official BTS YouTube and Weverse channels released the latest episode where Jin transforms into an action star. Donning a sharp black suit with his forehead partially revealed, Jin appeared as the ‘visual king,’ immediately grabbing viewers’ attention.
The episode begins with Jin being blindfolded by mysterious figures and transported to an unknown location, as part of a mission designed by the show’s producers to test his skill in action acting. Once the blindfold is removed, Jin faces a group of actors engaged in a full-blown action scene.
Notably, renowned Korean action director Jung Doo-hong — known for his work in Jeon Woochi, Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War, and Sweet Life — makes a surprise appearance. He challenges Jin to perform like a true lead actor while the stunt team supports him with professionally choreographed sequences.
Highlight reels of Jin’s past athletic endeavors, including rock climbing, gymnastics, and fencing, earned him the nickname “a national sports talent stolen by K-pop.” Under Jung Doo-hong’s guidance, Jin began learning fundamental action moves like punching and dodging, quickly impressing everyone with his natural talent and emotional range.
Jin continued to train through rolling techniques and gunplay, exhibiting his commitment to realism and a breathtaking camera presence. Director Jung praised him, saying, “Looks like we can clock out early today,” after witnessing Jin’s convincing performance.
The episode also showcased complex wire action scenes reminiscent of those in Jeon Woochi, which Jin surprisingly nailed on just his second try. Applause, celebratory captions like “A face built for cinema,” and director Jung’s emotional thumbs-up followed.
In the final mission titled Jin Wick Departure Mission, Jin delivered a full-scale action sequence combining all he had learned, leaving fans breathless. Jung exclaimed, “You’re the best!” capturing the episode’s uplifting ending.
The video sparked an outpouring of excitement online, with viewers unanimously agreeing that Jin’s visuals and acting talent deserve a place in the film world alongside his music pursuits.
In the teaser for the next episode, Jin partners with his military comrade WINNER’s Kang Seung-yoon to try out Taekwondo, raising anticipation even higher.
