BTS’ Jin Dominates Global Charts with His New Mini Album ‘Echo’
BTS (Bangtan Boys) member Jin has returned with a new solo mini album, ‘Echo’, and it’s already creating massive waves across the global music landscape. Officially released on May 16 at 1 PM KST, ‘Echo’ dives deep into themes of relatable emotions and everyday experiences, all portrayed through Jin’s honest and heartfelt lens.
The album features a total of seven tracks, including the title song ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’, which blends pop and rock with rich, band-based instrumentals. Jin’s matured vocal tones bring a heightened emotional depth to the music, earning praise from critics and fans alike.
‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ achieved remarkable success immediately after release, clinching the #1 spot on YouTube’s Global Trending Music Videos list for two consecutive days. It also ranked #1 on YouTube South Korea’s daily chart, while securing top global positions — #2 in the U.S., #3 in Canada, and #5 in the UK.
On iTunes, Jin shattered records, with the title track topping both the Worldwide and European iTunes Song Charts for two straight days. Every track from ‘Echo’ entered the Top 10 upon release, and ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ soared to #1 in 61 countries on the very first day.
In the U.S. iTunes, not only did ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ claim the #1 position, but all tracks from ‘Echo’ made it into the Top 25, pushing aside strong contenders like country star Morgan Wallen. The album continued its momentum by topping the iTunes ‘Top Album’ charts in 63 countries and regions by the morning of May 17 (KST).
In addition to its international acclaim, Jin quickly rose to #1 on South Korea’s Melon Chart as the most streamed artist following the album’s launch.
According to Spotify’s global data released on May 18 (KST), ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ debuted at #9 on the platform’s global chart, becoming the highest-charting debut by a Korean artist in 2025.
Jin’s ‘Echo’ not only highlights his growth as an artist but also reaffirms BTS’s global impact in today’s music scene — even in solo efforts.
