BAEKHYUN Expands Solo Comeback Beyond Korea with Global Fan Events and Record Sales
EXO’s BAEKHYUN has officially taken his solo comeback global with the release of his fifth mini album, Essence of Reverie, dropped on April 19. The singer captivated fans through a variety of content and vibrant music performances, starting with the pre-released track Chocolate and continuing with his title song Elevator.
Showcasing not only his refined vocals but also his magnetic on-screen presence, BAEKHYUN made appearances on top Korean entertainment shows and YouTube content, proving once again why he’s one of the most beloved idols in K-pop.
Affectionately known as a ‘fan lover’, BAEKHYUN has organized multiple offline events to deepen his connection with fans. From April 22 to 28, a pop-up store at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido will feature exhibitions and displays aligned with his album’s dreamy concept.
Going beyond Korea, BAEKHYUN takes his fan engagement global with celebratory U.S. pop-up events in Los Angeles, Atlanta, San Diego, Murfreesboro, Orlando, Seattle, Tempe, and Washington D.C. from May 23 to 25. Fans can enjoy immersive experiences reflecting the album’s concept and aesthetics.
Furthermore, the album is officially available at major U.S. retailers like Target, Walmart, and Barnes & Noble, signaling BAEKHYUN’s strategic international expansion.
These well-coordinated online and offline efforts have brought meaningful success. Essence of Reverie topped iTunes Top Albums charts in 24 regions and iTunes Top Songs charts in 14 regions immediately upon release. Within just three days, sales had exceeded 1 million copies, ranking it as the best first-week sales of any solo artist album released in 2025.
Continuing his momentum, BAEKHYUN is set to kick off his first solo world tour with Reverie performances at the KSPO Dome in Seoul on June 7 and 8. The tour is expected to enthrall global fans and reinforce his standing as an international pop icon.
