Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint Unveils Epic Trailer and Character Posters
The anticipated movie adaptation of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint has unveiled its first teaser trailer and captivating character posters, igniting excitement among fans of the original web novel. Based on a beloved series that captivated readers for over 10 years, the film explores what happens when a fictional world becomes alarmingly real.
Leading the charge is Ahn Hyo-seop as Kim Dokja, the sole reader of the original novel who suddenly finds himself in a world that mirrors the story he once cherished. The poster captures him with an intense gaze, accompanied by the chilling line, “I am the only reader who knows how this world ends.”
Joining him is Lee Min-ho as Yoo Joong-hyuk, the novel’s original protagonist. His line, “Why did the world become like this?” piques curiosity about the cinematic interpretation of the novel’s now-real dystopia.
Chae Soo-bin plays Yoo Sang-ah, a colleague who is thrust into the chaos alongside Kim Dokja. Confused but determined, she asks, “Do we have to fight like this every day?” — highlighting the harsh new reality they must navigate.
Shin Seung-ho steps in as Lee Hyun-sung, a physically powerful ally who evolves into Kim Dokja’s shield despite initial doubts. “How do you know all this?” he asks, before developing deep trust in the ‘reader’.
Nana plays Jung Hee-won, a fierce warrior for justice. Her intense expression and words — “One more left. The one who abandoned being human.” — hint at high-stakes confrontations ahead.
Jisoo appears as Lee Ji-hye, a student who follows Yoo Joong-hyuk as her mentor. Her cool demeanor and uncompromising line — “Only the strong survive in this world” — suggest deep backstory and emotional challenges yet to be revealed.
Also joining is Lee Gil-young (played by Kwon Eun-sung), a young boy who communicates with insects and surprises everyone with his bravery, exclaiming “I want to fight the monsters too!”
The teaser trailer begins with Kim Dokja aboard a subway after work, when suddenly an eerie announcement declares the start of a paid reality. “It’s exactly like the beginning of the novel,” he mutters, unveiling his realization. When a goblin appears and announces, “All humans will now receive scenarios. Kill at least one living being,” chaos erupts.
This marks the start of a cunning survival journey in a world where fiction is fact. As Kim Dokja leverages his unique knowledge of plotlines to navigate the chaos with Yoo Joong-hyuk and their allies, moviegoers can expect an epic saga of power, trust, and fantasy.
Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is set for nationwide theatrical release in July, promising a mind-bending blend of action, fantasy, and narrative brilliance.
