Rising K-Pop Group ILLIT Takes Over NYLON JAPAN’s Summer Edition
Emerging K-pop sensation ILLIT has graced the July issue cover of NYLON JAPAN, transforming into summer goddesses with the help of global makeup brand NARS. The visuals were released on July 7 via the magazine’s official social media platforms.
Members Yuna, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Ririka captivated fans with their glowing skin and stylish allure, embodying chic summer elegance. The editorial shoot highlights their shimmering makeup, vibrant energy, and fierce charisma, showcasing another side to ILLIT’s versatile image.
This feature follows a sensational breakthrough year for ILLIT. Their debut single ‘Magnetic’ swept multiple charts and earned them the Best New Artist Award at The 66th Japan Record Awards and three prestigious honors at The 39th Japan Gold Disc Award.
The group further solidified their popularity in Japan by appearing in the year-end New Year’s Eve Live Music Show (Kōhaku Uta Gassen) and dominating local music programs and high-profile magazine spreads.
Their Japanese original track ‘Almond Chocolate’, released in February as a movie soundtrack, resonated with fans, climbing the charts again weeks after its debut and sparking a viral resurgence.
Building on this momentum, ILLIT will hold their first Japan fan concert tour ‘2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN JAPAN’ in August and September across two cities. Korean fans will get an early taste when the tour kicks off in Seoul on June 7–8 with ‘2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN SEOUL’ at Olympic Hall in Songpa-gu.
ILLIT’s presence in fashion, music, and multimedia not only defines them as style icons but cements their fast-rising status as global K-pop stars.
