BTS’s Jung Kook Sets Historic Spotify Record with Solo Track ‘Seven’
Jung Kook of BTS has once again proved his global power by breaking records on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform. According to the latest chart released by Spotify (April 25–May 1), Jung Kook’s debut solo track ‘Seven (feat. Latto)’, released in July 2023, ranked 85th on the Weekly Top Song Global chart.
The song has now maintained its position on the chart for an unprecedented 94 consecutive weeks, the longest run ever for a track by an Asian solo artist. This milestone cements Jung Kook’s place in streaming history, highlighting the continued popularity and endurance of ‘Seven’.
In addition, Jung Kook’s first solo album ‘Golden’, released in November 2023, secured 61st place on Spotify’s Weekly Top Album Global chart for the same week. It marks an extraordinary 78th week on the chart, another record for an Asian solo artist’s album.
Jung Kook continues to dominate both digital song and album charts, consistently placing within the Top 100 across Spotify’s main rankings. He also logged his 101st week on the Weekly Top Artist Global chart during this period, reinforcing his enduring influence in the global music scene.
‘Seven’ has already achieved an incredible 2.3 billion streams, breaking records for the fastest and first Asian track to do so. Additionally, ‘Golden’ surpassed 5.5 billion streams on the platform, making it the most-streamed album by an Asian solo artist to date.
Recently, ‘Seven’ was ranked as the 83rd most-streamed song of all time on Spotify, further proving that Jung Kook’s global solo endeavors are resonating with millions worldwide.
