Go Youn-jung Calls Out Kim Hye-in’s Shady Actions in ‘Resident Playbook’
On the April 27th episode of tvN’s Resident Playbook, Go Youn-jung’s character Oh I-young boldly confronted Myung Eun-won, played by Kim Hye-in, exposing her unethical behavior over a research paper.
During a medical conference, Myung Eun-won was awarded the top prize for a research paper she had promised to co-author equally with Goo Do-won, portrayed by Jung Joon-won. However, at the last moment, she downgraded him to second author, claiming differences in contribution, effectively stealing the credit.
Later, Myung Eun-won handed Goo Do-won part of her prize money, attempting to silence him, saying, “You don’t think I stole your paper, do you? It would be awkward if rumors spread among the professors.” Though Goo Do-won responded calmly, it was clear he was hurt.
That’s when Oh I-young appeared and sharply pointed out, “You haven’t apologized yet,” leaving Myung Eun-won visibly shaken. Forced to mumble a brief apology to Goo Do-won, Myung Eun-won quickly exited the scene.
Later that night, Oh I-young and Goo Do-won shared beers at a playground. Goo Do-won told her he didn’t need an apology and cautioned that her boldness might make her future difficult in the hospital. Frustrated, Oh I-young asked, “Why aren’t you angry? Are you a saint or Jesus himself?” prompting Goo Do-won to joke, “I’m just a pushover!”
Their playful banter escalated as Oh I-young vented her anger with a string of colorful language she had picked up from patients. Flustered, Goo Do-won teased, “You used to say you liked me. Now you’re cursing like that?” To which Oh I-young blushed and replied, “I still like you. I just curse even when I like someone.” This adorable exchange brought a heartfelt smile to Goo Do-won’s face, ending the emotional episode with a warm note.
