NCT WISH Clinches Third Music Show Win with ‘Poppop’ at Show! Music Core
On June 26, during MBC’s Show! Music Core, NCT WISH captured their third music show trophy with their vibrant title track ‘Poppop’. Competing against strong contenders like LE SSERAFIM with ‘HOT’ and Jennie with ‘Like Jennie,’ NCT WISH proudly took home the win.
Accepting the award, NCT WISH conveyed heartwarming gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much to our SMTOWN family and staff. We still can’t believe this is happening. We are honored and thrilled to win at ‘Music Core’ for the first time. We promise to keep learning and growing.” They added, “Let’s stay together for a long time, CZENI. We love you.”
The group’s second mini-album title track ‘Poppop’ showcases a refreshing dance-pop sound, characterized by buoyant melodies, dynamic percussion, robust basslines, and vibrant synths, perfectly encapsulating NCT WISH’s youthful energy.
The episode also featured electrifying performances by Kai of EXO, who returned with the seductive yet sophisticated ‘Wait On Me,’ along with Chuu performing ‘Only Cry in the Rain,’ and TOUS with their new track ‘Isn’t It Cool to Follow Your Heart?’
