Jin Shines in Final Episodes of Netflix’s ‘Dae Hwan Jang’ Ahead of Musical Comeback

After making a remarkable impression in Netflix’s hit reality show ‘Dae Hwan Jang’, BTS’s Jin has officially wrapped filming, leaving fans with heartfelt reflections and rising anticipation for his musical comeback.

Appearing as an all-around handyman and ‘ideal employee’, Jin’s impressive skill set and sincerity earned him glowing praise from both viewers and castmates. Through his label Big Hit Music, Jin shared his thoughts on completing the show, saying, “When I first arrived in Ulleungdo and saw the workshop, I felt overwhelmed—but soon I found myself blending into it and smiling at how naturally everything came together.”

While the production had its challenges, Jin called the experience “an unforgettable part of my life,” and expressed deep gratitude to the show’s creator Kian84, co-stars like Ji Ye-Eun, and all the guests who participated. He also extended his heartfelt appreciation to the ARMY and fans who have supported Dae Hwan Jang throughout its run.

In episodes 7 through 9, which aired on April 22, Jin wrapped up his memorable journey on the show where he cooked, cleaned, repaired, and led with grace, earning him the nickname “MacGyver Jin” from fans. In difficult moments, he held firm to the workshop’s mission and rules while showcasing a humble personality rarely seen in global celebrities.

His authentic portrayal resonated strongly with audiences. According to Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex ranking, Jin topped the TV-OTT non-drama cast buzz index for the third week of April, climbing five spots from the previous week—a clear sign of his impact on the show.

Dae Hwan Jang also proved a global favorite, securing sixth place in Netflix’s worldwide Top 10 non-English series (April 7-13), the only variety show on the list.

Following the series’ wrap-up, Jin is set to return to his first love—music. On May 16, he will drop his highly anticipated mini-album ‘Echo’, featuring seven tracks that explore emotional waves similar to life’s echoes. The lead single, ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’, dives into the emotional complexity of holding onto love despite a relationship’s decline.

With unmatched versatility, heartfelt sincerity, and global appeal, 2024 is shaping up to be another spectacular year for Jin—as both a reality show star and a musical powerhouse.
