LE SSERAFIM’s Exciting New Release
LE SSERAFIM, one of the leading K-pop groups making waves globally, has solidified their presence in Japan with the release of their fourth Japanese single ‘DIFFERENT’. On the 24th, the group, comprising Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae, unveiled this latest musical endeavor, further marking their influence in the Japanese market.
In anticipation of this release, they shared a performance video of the title track on HYBE Labels’ YouTube channel on the 23rd. The video showcased the quintet in sportswear emblazoned with their team logo, capturing behind-the-scenes camaraderie.
Groove on the Skate Park
In the video, LE SSERAFIM members are seen enjoying a laid-back atmosphere at a skate park. Moving smoothly to a groovy rhythm, the members exhibited dynamic choreography marked by witty transitions that kept viewers entertained.
The track ‘DIFFERENT’ is notably the group’s first original Japanese title track, having been pre-released earlier on September 9th. It introduces a refreshing disco-funk genre, highlighted by catchy melodies that are bound to impress.
Charting Success Internationally
The song recently earned a spot on Billboard’s ‘World Digital Song Sales’ chart at number 9, a significant achievement as their first Japanese original track to make it onto the chart. In Japan, it climbed to number 4 on Billboard Japan’s ‘Hot Shot Songs’ chart as of the 18th, proving its widespread popularity.
Dive Into More Tunes
Alongside ‘DIFFERENT’, the single includes the Japanese version of their previous Korean mini album title track ‘HOT’, originally released in March, and ‘Kawaii (Prod. Gen Hoshino)’. These tracks collectively convey a message advocating for individuality and self-expression.
‘HOT -Japanese ver.-’ sentiments are all about going all out for one’s passions, while ‘Kawaii’, produced by the famous Japanese singer-songwriter Gen Hoshino with English lyrics penned by Huh Yunjin, celebrates individuality and strength. Interestingly, this track will also feature as the theme for the upcoming Netflix series ‘My Melody & Kuromi’, set to premiere on July 24th.
Touring Triumph
Recently, LE SSERAFIM concluded their first world tour successfully, which included notable performances in cities like Nagoya, Osaka, Kitakyushu, and Saitama. The tour, ‘2025 LE SSERAFIM TOUR ‘EASY CRAZY HOT’ IN JAPAN’, garnered widespread acclaim. The group is set to keep the momentum with encore concerts at Tokyo Dome on November 18-19.
