On October 15, KOZ Entertainment announced that Zico would be participating in the renowned Japanese music unit m-flo’s 25th-anniversary project, the famous ‘loves’ series. The upcoming track, titled ‘EKO EKO’, is set to release on October 18.

m-flo had previously revealed on their official social media channels on October 14 that the new single would feature Zico and Japanese singer-songwriter eill. In the photo shared alongside the announcement, the three artists exude charisma, indicating the high expectations surrounding this collaboration.

The Significance of the ‘loves’ Series

m-flo described the collaboration as a “unique session transcending genre and language.” ‘EKO EKO’ continues the legacy of the ‘loves’ series, which has included celebrated hits like ‘miss you’, ‘the Love Bug’, and ‘come again’. This project, marked by its diverse artist partnerships, showcases m-flo’s fearless evolution over 25 years since their debut in 1999.

Zico expressed his heartfelt appreciation, stating, “It’s an honor to be part of an m-flo album, a group I have admired since the beginning of my music career.” He added, “This is a track everyone can enjoy, regardless of age or taste, and I hope people around the world will love it.” m-flo echoed this sentiment, describing the project as “a genuine creation crafted over a long period with Zico and eill, resulting in an authentic m-flo ‘loves’ experience.”
