Yulhee and Son Jeong-eun Go Head-to-Head in Intense Seoul City Run Showdown

Yulhee and Son Jeongeun battle for top female finisher at Seoul 10km marathon in The Running Must Go On

MBN’s 30th Anniversary special series ‘The Running Must Go On’ returns with episode 4, airing on June 10 at 8:20 PM, showcasing an exhilarating journey through the Seoul City Run 10km Marathon. The episode focuses on the Running Must Go On Crew as they take on their first official city marathon starting from Gwanghwamun Square.

Having trained intensely for over a month, the crew gathers at the starting line, fully prepared. Among them, singer Yulhee boldly claims, “I think I’ll be the top female finisher today,” referencing her previous strong performance in a 5km race. She adds, “My rival is definitely Son Jeong-eun. Last time, our records were nearly identical.”

Son Jeong-eun sweetly responds, “Though I absolutely love Yulhee, I really hope to beat her today.” Their friendly rivalry sets the tone for a tense but exciting competition, with fellow crew member Bang Eun-hee humorously adding, “Women are scarier sometimes,” drawing laughter from the team.

Meanwhile, the spotlight also shines on the oldest crew member, Heo Jae, affectionately nicknamed for his “Passion at 60.” Greeted by cheers from the public, Heo Jae repeatedly shouts “Fighting!” to the crowd, visibly drained from the effort. Just then, a surprise appearance by marathon legend Lee Bong-joo injects fresh excitement. He offers encouragement, leaving Heo Jae stunned and moved, exclaiming, “Bong-joo, what are you doing here?” while jogging after him.

As the team pushes past the halfway mark, the race heats up. The front-runner group, featuring Han Sang-bo, Jang Dong-sun, and Lee Jang-joon, competes fiercely, while the back-of-the-pack battle intensifies among Heo Jae, Yang Joon-hyuk, and Choi Jun-seok.

With the coveted MVP badge on the line and only one top finisher to claim victory, viewers will have to tune in to see who crosses the finish line first—and whether all members of the Running Must Go On Crew can achieve their personal goals.

Don’t miss the inspiring moments and heart-pounding drama of episode 4, airing June 10 at 8:20 PM (KST), only on MBN.
