Yerin Baek Collaborates with Pejay for Vibrant New Single ‘I MET PEEJAY’
Beloved Korean singer-songwriter Yerin Baek returns to the spotlight with her latest two-track single, I MET PEEJAY, released today at 6 PM KST. This marks her first solo project since joining the creative collective peoplelikepeople.
The title of the release itself highlights the highly anticipated collaboration with renowned producer Peejay, whose credits include work with major R&B and hip-hop artists such as Beenzino, Zion.T, and Lee Young-ji. Peejay is also an active member of the experimental group ‘Mind Combined.’
I MET PEEJAY consists of two tracks: the feel-good title song ‘1-4-3’ – a numeric stylization of “I LOVE YOU” – and ‘Seeking happy in the crowd’, which resonates with Yerin’s signature emotional depth and artistic introspection.
The upbeat rhythms and affectionate lyrics of ‘1-4-3’ show a playful side of love, while ‘Seeking happy in the crowd’ captures a solitary search for joy amid bustling energy, underlining Yerin’s evolution as a global artist.
Following the success of her North American and Asia-Pacific tours, Yerin Baek continues to solidify her presence as a global music powerhouse. Besides her solo output, she is also actively performing as the lead vocalist of the rock band The Volunteers.
I MET PEEJAY not only signifies a sonic shift for Yerin but also foretells bold new directions embraced through meaningful collaborations. With her return, fans worldwide can expect more genre-defying projects that highlight her emotional honesty and eclectic artistry.
