Weak Hero Class 2: Lee Myeong-ro Shines as New Villain in Netflix Hit Series
The Netflix original series Weak Hero Class 2 continues the gripping journey of Yeon Si-eun (played by Park Jihoon), a model student scarred by the trauma of his past, now transferred to Eunjang High School. Determined to never lose his friends again, Si-eun faces overwhelming violence in this raw, intense survival and coming-of-age story.
New to the series, Lee Myeong-ro delivers a powerful performance as Baek Dong-ha, a member of the formidable faction ‘Union,’ posing a relentless threat to Si-eun and his Eunjang crew. Following orders from Union’s leader Na Baek-jin (played by Bae Na-ra), Dong-ha’s actions drive the story’s explosive tension and action sequences.
Former model Lee Myeong-ro made his TV debut with JTBC’s Sisyphus: The Myth and quickly rose to prominence by starring in the film Thunderbirds. His portrayal of the impulsive yet intuitive character Tae-min earned him the Watcha’s Long-Form Film Award at the 26th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN).
Expanding his acting range further, Lee took on the role of Ddol-seok, a lowly servant enduring hardship, in JTBC’s The Story of Madam Ok, delivering a deeply resonant performance.
The success of Weak Hero Class 1—which clinched spots in the TOP 10 series (non-English) across 70 countries and stayed on the list for four consecutive weeks—has amplified anticipation for Weak Hero Class 2, now streaming worldwide on Netflix.
