‘Weak Hero Class 2’ Continues to Impress with Global Netflix Dominance for Third Week
Since its global release on April 25 via Netflix, Weak Hero Class 2 has maintained an impressive performance, proving its international appeal despite its quiet but powerful narrative.
According to Netflix’s official site Tudum, the drama soared to No. 1 in 32 countries just two days after its premiere. During its first official week (April 21–27), it racked up 6.1 million views, leading the Global Top 10 Non-English TV chart. The momentum continued into its second week (April 28–May 4) with 6.4 million views, securing the No. 2 spot. In its third week (May 5–11), the drama still made waves, amassing 2.4 million views and ranking 4th globally.
What’s even more remarkable is that Weak Hero Class 2 has sustained its presence in the Top 10 charts of 33 countries—a noteworthy feat for any non-English series.
Weak Hero Class 1 had previously remained in Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English shows for an impressive six consecutive weeks, and all eyes are now on whether its sequel, Class 2, can match or even surpass that record.
The series has also sparked interest in its cast, especially Park Ji-hoon, who plays the lead role of Yeon Si-eun, and Bae Na-ra, who portrays the menacing antagonist Na Baek-jin. Park Ji-hoon continues to receive offers across a variety of media platforms and is currently filming his next film, The Man Who Lives with the King (working title).
Bae Na-ra, whose portrayal of Na Baek-jin delivered intense impact in nearly every appearance, is currently starring in the Jeannie TV Original drama Your Taste, where he plays a rival character named Han Beom-woo. In addition, he has joined the cast of the upcoming Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) drama Woojoo Marymee, alongside confirmed leads Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-min, showing no signs of slowing down.
With captivating performances and an ever-expanding fanbase, Weak Hero Class 2 continues to raise the bar for K-dramas globally. The series is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
