She made her stage debut in 1996 after taking home the first prize in the middle school Smart School Uniform Model Contest.

She enjoyed sports so much before her debut that she competed in figure skating. She was also well-known as one of the Ongwang Girls' High School's three most attractive students.

She gained notoriety in 1998 as Oh Hye-kyo, Oh Ji-myung's and loveable youngest daughter in the sitcom "Sunpoong Clinic," and the following year she appeared in "Six Siblings" as the innocent model girlfriend of his eldest son, Choi Chang-min.

Song Hye-kyo, known for her cute and bouncy image through sitcoms, will make a big splash as an actress in the opposite role from her previous appearance as she was cast as the protagonist of a tragic life in Yoon Seok-ho's "Autumn in My Heart."

With her innocent portrayal in "Autumn in my heart," Song Hye-kyo increased her stock price as a beloved of all in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia. She then selected "Hotelier" as her subsequent project and raised her status from a poor daughter to a rich daughter. 

Early in May 2022, SBS decided to choose the drama's lead actress as soon as the venture that she would be making to make her debut in had failed in February of that year. The drama received a lot of love and had the highest rating at 47.7 percent. Particularly, Song is establishing herself as a de facto top star.

Song is a long time with Yeon Young Entertainment, who are members of the end of an exclusive contract, and they signed a contract with Sidus HQ on April 8, 2005.

Since the agency won't make its screen debut for another eight years, Song made her debut in a movie.

Song Hye-kyo, who had previously worked in the film industry, made a comeback to drama in March 2008 with "Worlds Within," in which writer Noh Hee-kyung and producer Pyo Min-soo, who is exceptionally attractive, collaborated for the first time in ten years. Through this work, Song Hye-kyo assumed Roh Hee- kyung's persona and the second act as an actress.

On November 2nd, 2012, Song entered into an exclusive agreement with the brand-new entertainment company UAA (United Artist Agency).

She was chosen in 2013 to play the lead role in Noh Hee-novel kyung's "That Winter, The Wind Blows," and by portraying the blind character, he demonstrated his unquestionable acting prowess. With "Descendants of the Sun," Song Hye-kyo won back the hearts of young viewers in 2016.

 3-2.Life as an actress 

On January 21, 2005, Seocho Police Station in Seoul detained a former manager Kim who is suspected of extorting Song Hye-kyo by threatening to pour hydrochloric acid on her face if she didn't pay 250 million won on the previous day and requesting an arrest order the following day.

In 2014, there was a tax omission problem.

The audience was shocked to hear that she had married actor Song Joong-ki, with whom she co-starred in the drama "Descendants of the Sun," on July 5, 2017.

The Seoul Family Court established a divorce by mutual consent with Song Joong-ki on July 22, 2019.
