TV Chosun's weekend mini-series drama "Red Balloon," which ranked #4 in Netflix's "Korea's TOP 10 Series" category, is a drama about the relative deprivation we all experience, the yearning for stomachache, and our thrilling and warm story of fighting to quench that thirst. It is the fourth collaboration between writer Moon Young-nam and director Jin Hyung-wook, following "Three Brothers Su Sang," "Family of the Royal Family," and "What's Wrong?"
With authentic speech and rich factual stories, it erupted "sympathy firepower," leaping to 7.7% nationwide and 8.5% per minute, breaking its own highest ratings and placing first in the same time slot of cable programs.
Lee Sung-jae garnered attention through this work by portraying Jin Jin-cheol, as a naive figure, unlike his previous work. He plays Jin Jin-cheol, Ko Dimensional's (Lee Sang-woo) brother-in-law, who was born as the eldest son of a family without a family and entered Cheowold as a desperate son-in-law. He is a miserable person who inherited and runs a scrap metal intermediate processing company, a craftsman's business but lives with "I'm sorry" in his mouth as a bar owner with no true authority.

He was an actor who was a member of MBC's open recruitment talent in 1995. Representative works include , , , and .
His father, Lee Kang-tae, was the head of Samsung General Construction (now Samsung C&T Construction Division). He died of Lou Gehrig's disease on January 29, 2014, just before Lunar New Year's Day. His brother, Lee Won-jae, is an active army brigadier general who is studying under a military commander who has held major positions in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport.
He is claimed to be one of many performers who auditioned for the character of Lee Woo-jin in the film Old Boy, which was performed by Yoo Ji-tae. It was widely assumed that the refusal was due to scheduling conflicts, but he stated that he was not confident in performing the part of a father with a daughter. Actor Choi Min-sik is alleged to have persuaded Lee Sung-woo at the time.
He rose to prominence after appearing in the drama "Lie" in 1998. It was regarded as the first appearance of a melodramatic actor after Han Seok-gyu and Park Shin-yang, and it garnered fame among women as "The Second Han Seok-gyu" because of its similar atmosphere and acting style to Han Seok-gyu.
Lee Sung-jae, who was reincarnated as the best melodrama prospect under the moniker "The Second Han Seok-gyu," suffered a deadly blow to his livelihood after his debut, with offers for melodrama and drama being cut off owing to "Public Enemy." As a result, Lee Sung-jae had a difficult life and required psychiatric therapy. He is an actor who overcame it and is constantly working on his craft.
2. Lee Sung-jae's Personality?
He stated on the reality show "I Live Alone" that he is not adept at visiting people and meeting them initially. In response to a personal experience, Lee Sung-jae stated, "Honestly, I can't even say hello to the director, writer, and production team," adding, "In reality, I couldn't contact him even though I appeared in Bong Joon-debut ho's picture." When I ran into him at an awards ceremony, he told me, "If I had kept in touch, I could have appeared in my other box office hits." "Even if I see the news online that some director is filming a new movie,' I can't call because I feel like I'm displaying my insides when I call them," he added.
On the scene, actor Wang Ji-hye interviewed Lee Sung-jae as a lively personality and mood generator. When asked about Lee Sung-jae's true nature on "Entertainment Weekly," actress Kim Gyu-ri responded that she is really charming.
In an interview, actor Lee Seong-je stated, “The general public perceives me as chilly and silent. Yet my true personality is that I enjoy making others laugh. Normally, I tell stupid jokes to make the people around me laugh. Even on-site, I strive to make people laugh for the sake of the fatigued performers and crew.”
He is a daughter idiot who only knows her daughter, and if his daughter wants to, he can get signatures and interviews with his favorite celebs. He claims to know little about celebs. He made people laugh by claiming that he knew the names of the SHINee members like tea and coffee and that B1A4 knew them like copy paper.
3. Lee Sung-jae's Activities(Actor Life)
The zoo adjacent to the art museum, which opened at the end of 1998, has won every rookie award at several film festivals. Since then, he has appeared in,, and, further solidifying his status in Chungmuro. The film "Public Enemy," which came out in 2002 and is still spoken about by iconic phrases, is where Lee Seong-jae's name became well known.
"Neolithic Blues," released in 2004, is widely regarded as Lee Seong-weakest je's effort. He had a nice appearance prior to his previous work, but he starred as Choonam since the movie's theme was Choonam Prehistoric, which was so severe that the audience resisted and went viral, which affected the box office defeat.
Later in his acting career, he became a regular on MBC's true documentary program "I Live Alone" in 2013. Lee Seong-jae depicted his wife and two daughters living in another country. When it was revealed that he had gotten a studio apartment on his own and was living in poverty with his pet Bedlington terrier "Effe," it became a hot subject.
He played the villain Cho Kwan-woong in the MBC drama "Gu Family Book" in 2013. With the success of "Wife's Qualities," "Gu Family Book," and "I Live Alone," it was time for the lethargic career to resume its former glory.
Since then, he has progressively built up his filmography by filming dramas and films, and the audience recognizes him as a known and stable actor. Nonetheless, it is attracting attention as a hot issue on Netflix from 2022 to 2023, displaying a ripe performance due to the part of the drama “Red Balloon.”

"It's the first family play in ten years," Lee Seong-jae said during the production presentation. "The benefit of family plays is that people feel as if they are at home since the filming is familiar and familiar," he explained.

Q. What are the selection criteria for a work?
You can choose any of the enjoyable, touching, or amusing moments when choosing a scenario, but I choose "Bingwoo" because of the lingering effect. I hope it becomes a movie that people remember when they visit the snow-covered mountain in the future.
Q. What do you think about acting?
As a restrained person in front of the camera, I'm releasing a variety of urges.
