Veteran Actress Myung Se-bin to Star as a Strong Homemaker in JTBC’s Upcoming Drama
Korean actress Myung Se-bin, known for her impressive acting career spanning decades, is ready to captivate audiences once again in JTBC’s highly anticipated upcoming drama, Kim Bu-jang’s Story (Seoul Jagae Dae-gi-eop Danineun Kim Bujang Iyagi).
According to her agency, Cosmo Entertainment, Myung has been officially cast in a key role in the 2025 JTBC drama, directed by Jo Hyun-tak and written by Kim Hong-gi and Yoon Hye-sung. The drama tells the poignant story of a middle-aged man who loses everything he once valued, only to rediscover his true identity beyond the title of a corporate executive.
Myung will portray Park Ha-jin, a 25-year homemaker who has devoted her life to the happiness of her family. Park’s character embarks on an emotionally stirring journey to gain independence and redefine her role in a changing society, away from the shadows of her husband, portrayed by Ryu Seung-ryong. Their on-screen chemistry is expected to bring a realistic and relatable portrayal of married life, aiming to resonate with viewers both in Korea and worldwide.
The actress has continued to shine across multiple platforms with critically acclaimed performances in dramas such as KBS2’s Pure and Paper Crane, MBC’s The Woman Who Wants to Marry and The Crown Prince Has Disappeared, as well as JTBC’s Doctor Cha. Recently, she charmed audiences with her genuine and humorous personality on the SBS Plus & E Channel variety show Solo-ra-seo.
Her return to scripted television in Kim Bu-jang’s Story marks yet another milestone in a diverse and accomplished career. The drama is slated to premiere in the second half of 2025 on JTBC.
