TWS Invites You to ‘Try With Us’—Celebrating Youthful Bravery in Their New Album

Rising K-pop boy group Twenty Four Seven With Us (TWS) has officially kicked off a new music chapter with the release of their latest album, TRY WITH US. At a showcase event held on June 21 at Seoul’s Blue Square, the six-member group unveiled a concept fueled by youthful energy, fearless intent, and emotional storytelling.

Featuring the title track “마음 따라 뛰는 건 멋지지 않아” (roughly translated as “Isn’t It Cool to Follow Your Heart?”), the album reflects the burning spirit of being twenty—dreaming big, making bold moves, and charging forward without hesitation. From the sentimental introduction to the euphoric ending, the song serves as a narrative of growth, as described by member Shinyu: “The structure of the song perfectly mirrors our highs and lows. Its lyrics embody the most passionate moments of our twenties.”

TWS’s musical journey began with their debut track “첫 만남은 계획대로 되지 않아” (“Our First Meeting Didn’t Go as Planned”), which charmed fans with its lyrical honesty and boyish freshness. Now, just over a year later, the group has matured into a confident force. “This album incorporates our own youth,” said Jihoon, while Hanjin added, “It’s incredibly catchy—it just felt like our song from the start.”

Staying true to their now-signature style of long and poetic song titles, TWS continues that tradition with their newest track. Although unintentionally created to fit the “12-character rule,” member Kyungmin shared that the title was crafted to transmit overwhelming emotion, hoping the positive energy carries over.

As TWS enters their second year, their self-defined genre of boyhood pop evolves too. “We aim to capture fleeting but shining moments in our otherwise ordinary youth,” explained Youngjae. Jihoon added, “This time around, we wanted to showcase our growth within ‘boyhood pop,’ but from experiences outside the school setting.”

The group continues to walk the line between adolescence and adulthood, with several members currently turning twenty. “Being on the edge of our teens and twenties, we relate deeply to this transition,” said Kyungmin. “We’re striving to portray a more mature version of ourselves while still maintaining our pure essence.”

The transformation is not just thematic. The album’s choreography and performance exude the freedom of youth. Jihoon pointed out a moment in the outro where members lock eyes and run around freely. “It’s where we express the pure joy of performing on stage,” he explained.

This album is particularly meaningful for Jihoon and Hanjin, both of whom turned 20 this year. “Preparing this album as I turned 20 was emotionally special,” shared Jihoon. “It gave me an opportunity for self-reflection and to take on more challenging choreography and vocals.” Hanjin added, “The title track is like a manifesto—we’re running boldly guided by our instincts.”

Even the youngest member, Kyungmin, acknowledges the bittersweet anticipation of aging into his twenties: “I feel a mix of anxiety and excitement as I enter a new decade of life. This album reflects that in raw, energetic form.”

Fans have dubbed TWS ‘느좋남’ (loosely, ‘guys with a good vibe’), and the group hopes their new nickname evolves into ‘느낌 좋은 투어스’ (‘TWS with a good feeling’). Dohun noted, “It’s a phrase that pushes us forward,” while Youngjae emphasized the album’s aspirational message: “We want listeners across generations to recall their sparkling moments of youth when they hear our songs.”

With a more refined emotional palette and amplified authenticity, TWS resets the standard for boyhood pop. Jihoon concluded, “Even if some elements feel familiar to previous works, we want audiences to recognize that our musical identity has grown stronger. And that’s why this song—‘마음 따라 뛰는 건 멋지지 않아’—means so much to us.”
