TWICE’s Jihyo and Sana Show Impressive Varietainment Skills on SBS’s ‘Whenever Possible’

TWICEs Jihyo and Sana bring laughter and competitive spirit to SBSs Whenever Possible

On the June 20 episode of Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS)‘s hit variety program ‘Whenever Possible’, TWICE members Jihyo and Sana brought their A-game as special guest ‘Time Friends’ alongside co-hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok. Celebrating their 10th year in the industry, the idols demonstrated why they remain top-tier entertainers with a mix of humor, skill, and relatability.

The episode took viewers to a cozy café in Geumho-dong, a regular spot for Jihyo. Upon arrival, they were greeted by a heartwarming story from a local customer and her 4-year-old daughter, sparking nostalgic sentiments in Yoo Jae-suk himself. This emotional yet laid-back setting served as the perfect stage for their first challenge, ‘Cup Pong Coaster,’ where the cast fiercely competed for a stylish prize—family sneakers.

Giggles ensued as Jihyo’s self-assurance quickly wavered, only to exclaim, “This isn’t as trivial as I thought!” Sana’s positivity lit up the room, even as she humorously declared herself a ‘game hole’ and stepped aside after struggling. Despite setbacks, the team managed to clear the first level before Jihyo faltered on the second challenge. Still, the good vibes remained as she playfully pledged to return often to the café.

The second part of the episode transported everyone to a tteokbokki joint in the historic Geumnam Market, operated by a beloved vendor who had run the stall for over 13 years. Despite mounting pressure and failed bonus rolls, both Jihyo and Sana entertained with charming banter—Jihyo subtly placing a die during the bonus challenge and apologizing, “Sorry, that was kind of sly of me,” had everyone in stitches.

As the ladies worked through the ‘Chomp Chomp Quiz,’ their bilingual wit had the hosts and production team in fits of laughter—Sana even claimed her “foreigner card” mid-game. Although they were eventually defeated in the second round of the challenge, the vendor expressed gratitude for the cast’s visit, emphasizing the precious human connections built during such moments.

‘Whenever Possible’ airs every Tuesday at 9 pm KST on SBS, continuing to secure top ratings in its slot thanks to authentic storytelling, charismatic guests, and heartfelt interactions. The June 20 broadcast ranked first among all Tuesday entertainment and drama programs with a solid 1.4% rating among audiences aged 20–49, according to Nielsen Korea.
