tvN’s New Drama ‘Please Take Care of This Week’ Reunites Former Lovers in Hometown Romance
tvN is set to premiere its newest Monday-Tuesday drama, ‘Please Take Care of This Week’, on June 12 at 8:50 PM KST. The drama stars Choi Soo-young as Han Geum-joo and Gong Myung as Seo Eui-joon, two high school friends turned distant strangers who are unexpectedly reunited in their serene hometown of Bocheon Village.
Han Geum-joo is a seasoned car mechanic in Seoul with a decade of experience, but a sudden twist of fate leads her to return to her rural roots after leaving behind her bustling city life. Once a social pro — dominating both the workplace and the drinking scene — her abrupt return home raises questions about what really drove her to leave it all behind.
Meanwhile, Seo Eui-joon, a calm and warm-hearted doctor, returns to Bocheon as the new head of the local health clinic after working at a major hospital in Seoul. Seamlessly blending into the local community, he adjusts to a slower, more heartfelt way of life.
Although they once shared intimate conversations over drinks during their youth, Geum-joo and Eui-joon drifted apart as adulthood set in. Yet, fate brings them back together in their shared hometown. As they reconnect face-to-face amid the quiet alleyways of Bocheon, old emotions start to resurface.
Photos released by the production team capture a charged silence between the two as they come face-to-face in familiar surroundings, subtly suggesting a complex backstory that awaits unraveling. Why did they drift apart? And can lost connections be rekindled amid a return to simplicity?
‘Please Take Care of This Week’ is written by Myeong Soo-hyun and Jun Ji-hyun, and directed by Jang Yoo-jung and Jo Nam-hyung. With its picturesque backdrop and emotionally charged reunion, the drama promises a heartwarming journey of healing, rediscovery, and perhaps, romance.
