TV Chosun’s ‘Miss & Mr. Trot All-Star Battle’ Preempted for Presidential Debate

TV Chosuns Miss and Mr Trot AllStar Battle delayed for People Power Party presidential debate

TV Chosun’s beloved music variety show ‘Miss & Mr. Trot All-Star Battle’ faces a temporary cancellation this week due to South Korea’s high-stakes political event. The network announced that the episode scheduled to air at 10 p.m. on Wednesday will be preempted by the final televised debate of the People Power Party’s 21st presidential primary race.

The special broadcast features a direct face-off between presidential hopefuls Kim Moon-soo and Han Dong-hoon. The debate will air live for 90 minutes and is also available for real-time viewing on People Power Party’s official YouTube channel, known as ‘PeoplePowerTV’.

Following this debate, the party will conduct its two-day voting process on March 1 and 2. The final presidential candidate—determined by a combination of 50% party members’ vote and 50% public opinion polling—will be officially announced during the party congress on March 3.

Meanwhile, fans of ‘Miss & Mr. Trot’ can look forward to future episodes of the All-Star Battle, a high-energy competition where top-tier trot singers—previous winners and participants from TV CHOSUN’s hit trot series—compete without rank or status in a distinctive show of musical prowess.
