The Seasons: Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile Delivers a Star-Studded Musical Journey
KBS2’s hit music talk show The Seasons: Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile returned on June 9 with a supersized 120-minute episode packed with nine iconic acts from the ’90s and early 2000s. This special episode offered a rare fusion of nostalgia and emotion, reaffirming the program’s growing appeal across generations.
Park Bo-gum, who stepped into the role of DJ “Geom-D,” opened the show with the theme “Between the Hidden Hours,” connecting the past and present through music. Legendary musicians Yoon Sang, Lee Hyun-woo, and Kim Hyun-chul shared the stage again for the first time in years, delivering fan-favorite classics that once dominated the charts.
Fondly remembered as part of the “Four Bachelors” group with Yoon Jong-shin, the trio reminisced about their storied careers, crediting Park Bo-gum for making the reunion possible. Their set included impromptu live arrangements, where Yoon Sang praised Park’s musical instinct as being “composer-level.”
Bae Ki-sung of Can delivered a heartfelt performance of “My Spring Days…”, reimagined with updated lyrics as “Spring Will Come,” which moved the audience—and Park himself—to tears. In a playful moment, Bae jokingly protested not receiving piano accompaniment, prompting Park to surprise everyone with a spontaneous rendition for “Live Like a Human.”
Cherry Filter turned up the energy with their breakout hit “Romantic Cat,” and invited Park Bo-gum to join their jam session of “Flying Duck,” suggesting they recruit him as a new band member. The group also revealed that their 18-year hiatus from KBS nighttime shows ended solely because of Park.
Vocal duo As One reunited in full formation after 12 years and requested Park to “turn around” during their performance—adding a touching layer to the comeback. Member Crystal flew in from LA for the performance, while Lee Min confessed she would’ve ended a friendship if she missed the opportunity, blending humor with heartfelt dedication.
The night continued with a wave of powerful ballads, including “I Want and Resent,” “Day By Day,” and “Should I Be Sorry”. One standout moment was a collaboration between Yoon Sang, Park Bo-gum, and singer Team for an emotional rendition of “I Love You.” Team, the youngest guest, humorously noted his junior status but wowed audiences with his heartfelt rendition of “As Much As I Loved.”
Jo Sung-mo made his long-awaited return to the KBS night music stage after 12 years, performing classic hits like “To Heaven” and “Do You Know.” His dramatic performance of “Promise” was accentuated with a leather jacket handpicked by Park Bo-gum himself. Jo even teased the idea of composing new music just to have Park star in a future music video.
Rock legend Kim Min-kyu of Deli Spice closed the show with an unforgettable reimagining of the iconic hit “Confession,” sharing a playful creative exchange with Park about the lyrics’ interpretation. Their harmonious blend of music and memory left the audience smiling as the curtains closed on one of the show’s most memorable episodes yet.
The Seasons: Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile continues to evolve as more than just a music show—it’s a cross-generational celebration of stories and songs. Tune in weekly on KBS2 at 10 p.m. for more unforgettable moments.
