Studio C1’s ‘Flaming Baseball’ Kicks Off with a Hawaiian Bang
Studio C1‘s latest baseball reality series ‘Flaming Baseball’ made a fiery debut with episode 1 premiering on YouTube on June 5th. The episode introduced the Flaming Fighters team, blending vacation luxury with fierce competition building up to the 2025 Stove League.
Landing in beautiful Hawaii, the Flaming Fighters were met with a heartwarming welcome from producers. Rookie Sang-woo Lim kicked things off with a playful acrostic poem, while veteran Yong-taik Park sparked energy with his own humorous take. As they reached Waikiki Beach, players stood in awe of the emerald waves, with Jae-young Shin diving into the water to bless the show with success, creating laugh-out-loud moments among teammates.
Snorkeling and sunset cruises at Kewalo Basin offered a perfect reward vacation for the team. Park toasted, “Even championship-winning KBO teams rarely travel these days, but we made it. Let’s play well in 2025 and aim for Las Vegas!” With the glowing sun setting and the moon rising on the opposite horizon, players exchanged heartfelt words of encouragement.
Following these moments, the highly anticipated 2025 Stove League segment began. Dae-ho Lee, who dominated with consecutive MVP titles and led in hits and RBIs, along with Geon-woo Jung (top scorer and base stealer), Yong-taik Park (dual-category “self-awarded” leader), and Rookie of the Year Sang-woo Lim, were classified as A-tier and confirmed their spot for 2025.
The episode took a comedic turn as seasoned players Hee-kwan Yoo and Dustin Nippert, appearing with agent Yeo-rang Lee, negotiated contracts with team GM Si-won Jang. Highlights included an added incentive clause for Nippert should he throw over 155 km/h in the season.
B-tier players like Taek-keun Lee, Sung-hoon Jung, Jae-wook Park, and Su-hyun Choi bargained their way back into the lineup, while rivals Jae-young Shin and Dae-eun Lee even gambled facial slaps on performance options, adding comic flair.
Veterans Seung-jun Song and Eui-yoon Jung reacted strongly upon seeing their market value assessments but ultimately re-signed. Gyo-won Moon will decide after tryouts, and Mun-ho Kim emotionally shared the news with his wife during a moving phone call.
Within just 58 minutes of release, episode 1 surpassed 100,000 live viewers, peaking at a staggering 130,491. Coming next week, episode 2 delves into the intense 2025 tryouts—featuring KBO legend Jae-ho Kim, who appeared in 1,793 games with a .272 batting average, 54 home runs, and 600 RBIs during his player career. Who will clinch a spot on the Flaming Fighters? Fans are eagerly watching.
