SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu Expresses Deep Affection for Fans at 10th Anniversary Celebration

A Glimpse into Mingyu’s Gratitude Towards CARATs
Celebrating a Decade of Success
On the 6th, SEVENTEEN member Mingyu appeared on the YouTube channel ‘Hyeri’, where he shared heartfelt gratitude towards his fans, known as CARATs. The occasion was none other than SEVENTEEN’s monumental 10th anniversary. The video touched on various aspects of the band’s journey and the special performance held at the iconic Jamsu Bridge in Seoul.
A Night to Remember
Reflecting on the special night, which took place on the 25th of last month, Mingyu recounted, “The B-DAY PARTY was a gift of sorts to celebrate a decade of our journey, and it was profoundly enjoyable.” He further mentioned the thrill and anticipation that came with the event, “A few days prior, heavy rains had us worried, but on the day, the weather was impeccable with fountains and fireworks embellishing the night — it’s a day I will cherish forever.”
Fan Dedication Beyond Imagination
What stood out during this celebration was the remarkable enthusiasm and dedication of the CARATs. Mingyu humorously remarked how he had imagined fans renting yachts and, in reality, they did just that. “It wasn’t about flaunting wealth,” he explained, “but rather, CARATs pulled together resources collectively, filling each boat to its capacity. I could see them waving light sticks and banners – it was heartwarming.”

Unwavering Courtesy
Hyeri shared a touching anecdote about how the fans neatly organized chairs post-performance, to which Mingyu endearingly commented, “Our CARATs are just too lovely.” Facing friendly teasing for his endless compliments, he noted, “I never expected them to even consider clearing the place up, but that’s the considerate spirit they embody.”
Inside Mingyu’s Mind
The episode also shed light on Mingyu’s unique perspective on life. Known for his eccentric imaginations, Mingyu humorously contemplated the logistics of a solo concert. “With 13 members, even a monthly gig per member is a year’s worth of shows,” he mused. “Perhaps renting out a venue throughout the year could work!” Mingyu candidly shared how his imaginative ideas sometimes hit the mark positively and occasionally draw humorous critiques.
A Call for Leadership
Mingyu fondly recounted how not all his creative ideas are always embraced by fellow member Hoshi, playfully requesting Hyeri to help instill some order. “Please, Hyeri, keep him in line next time,” he joked, bringing a playful conclusion to the discussion.
Mingyu’s earnest expressions and jovial demeanor further illustrate the deep connection between SEVENTEEN and their global fanbase, demonstrating that mutual respect and admiration fuel the group’s unstoppable momentum.
