K-pop sensation Seventeen is set to release their fifth studio album Happy Burstday on the 26th at 6 PM KST. Combining the words ‘birthday’ and ‘burst,’ the album title symbolizes the group’s explosive rebirth and bold commitment to a new beginning.

The anticipation for the album has been building thanks to a series of compelling concept teasers under themes such as New Escape, New Myself, and New Burstday. Through these story-driven visuals, Seventeen portrays a voluntary disappearance from their old selves, mysterious self-transformation, and a passionate rebirth party—each step meticulously crafted to emphasize a cohesive narrative arc.

Every piece of content is laced with immersive storytelling. From cryptic message exchanges before departure, redesigned team rings, to scars symbolizing the resolve to endure change—mini hidden ‘Easter eggs’ within the visuals stoke the curiosity and imagination of fans worldwide.

The group’s trailer, launched on the 28th of last month, illustratively engages viewers through an interactive format offering dual outcomes. The narrative stands as a metaphor: when one accepts challenges, they can reignite and evolve; if held back by fear, even future potential may vanish.

Adding to the immersive approach, Seventeen spotlighted their fandom Carat in a short-form content series, showcasing the rebirth process from fans’ perspectives.
