SEVENTEEN Returns with Hilarious Faux Documentary in ‘GOING SEVENTEEN’

Kpop group SEVENTEEN brings laughter and chaos in new GOING SEVENTEEN fake documentary special

One of K-pop’s most beloved groups, SEVENTEEN—comprised of members S.COUPS, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino—is back with another round of hilarious chaos in its fan-favorite variety series GOING SEVENTEEN.

On June 21st at 10 PM (KST), SEVENTEEN released a new comeback special titled ‘SEVENTEEN TV’ through their official social media. In this episode, the members dive into a faux documentary setup, posing as if they’ve been living together in a dorm for ten years, leading to intense, unscripted performances filled with spontaneity and laughter.

The plot starts with shocking news that the group’s name might be changed from ‘SEVENTEEN’ to ‘EIGHTEEN’, along with their lineup. Chaos unfolds as members express varied opinions like “Let’s just follow what the company wants,” “Let’s recruit a new member,” and “Absolutely nothing should change.”

Hoshi pushes for “Black SEVENTEEN,” while Joshua comically suggests replacing their long-time producer Bumzu with a new recruit. The tension is broken by unexpected laughter triggers throughout the video.

One standout moment occurs when Jun reveals he has the word ‘SEVENTEEN’ tattooed on his body, pleading against the name change. The members rush to the bathroom to verify, their stunned reactions adding to the hilarity.

Another iconic moment includes a reenactment of Seungkwan and DK’s legendary argument over a gray towel. DK’s dramatic towel throw at Seungkwan ends the segment with fans eager to see what’s next.

The episode shines by capturing each member’s true personalities—Seungkwan singing through the team’s crisis, Dino managing food orders, and Woozi quietly observing. The recreated dorm, just like their debut era, adds a nostalgic charm for longtime fans.

Fans won’t have to wait long. Part 2 of the GOING SEVENTEEN comeback special airs on June 28. Moreover, new content titled NANA Tour with SEVENTEEN will launch globally via Weverse, tvN, and Disney+ starting July 2, offering more behind-the-scenes interactions with SEVENTEEN.

This buzz continues as the group prepares to drop their 5th studio album, ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY,’ on June 26, setting the stage for a red-hot summer of SEVENTEEN content.
