SEVENTEEN Named to Gold House’s A100 List, Cementing Global Pop Icon Status

Kpop group SEVENTEEN only Korean act on Gold Houses A100 list marking global influence

K-pop powerhouse SEVENTEEN—comprised of S.COUPS, JEONGHAN, JOSHUA, JUN, HOSHI, WONWOO, WOOZI, THE8, MINGYU, DK, SEUNGKWAN, VERNON, and DINO—has been recognized for its influential presence on the global stage by being included in Gold House’s 2025 A100 List. The group holds the distinction of being the only K-pop act to make the list this year.

Gold House, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting Asian Pacific creatives and entrepreneurs, honors the 100 most impactful Asians each year who have reshaped American culture across various industries. Sharing the spotlight with global icons like Bruno Mars and award-winning director Bong Joon-ho, SEVENTEEN’s selection underscores their tremendous influence and cultural significance.

Labeling SEVENTEEN as “K-pop icons,” Gold House praised their unique production system based on the synergy of its sub-units—hip-hop, performance, and vocal teams—highlighting the group’s self-producing capabilities and artistic innovation. “Celebrating their 10th anniversary, SEVENTEEN continues to reinvent themselves, constantly exceeding expectations with unrelenting ambition and a limitless musical spectrum,” the organization noted.

In 2023, SEVENTEEN achieved a significant breakthrough in the global music industry. Their best album ’17 IS RIGHT HERE’ and 12th mini-album ‘SPILL THE FEELS’ both landed at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart, showcasing their massive international appeal. The group’s stadium concerts drew over 1.5 million fans worldwide—across the United States (including a sold-out show at BMO Stadium), South Korea, and Japan.

These accomplishments contributed to the group’s ranking as No. 3 on the IFPI’s 2024 Global Artist Chart—the highest position for any K-pop act. They also took home awards from two of America’s major music award shows: the Billboard Music Awards and the MTV Video Music Awards in 2024.

SEVENTEEN is poised to extend its legacy with the release of its highly anticipated fifth full-length album ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’ on June 26. The album title cleverly blends “Birthday” with “Burst,” symbolizing a new era and a powerful rebirth for the globally beloved group.
