SEVENTEEN Celebrates 10th Anniversary With 5th Album ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’

K-pop powerhouse SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) is set to make a triumphant return with their fifth full-length album, HAPPY BURSTDAY, releasing on May 26.

In a video posted on their official social media channels on April 21, SEVENTEEN unveiled a roadmap of their exciting 2024 plans. Aside from the new album, the group teased an upcoming tour, fresh unit singles, and exclusive content, giving fans a glimpse of what’s ahead in their milestone year.

HAPPY BURSTDAY marks SEVENTEEN’s first studio album in nearly three years, following 2022’s Face the Sun. The album’s unique title blends the words ‘Birthday’ and ‘Burst,’ symbolizing the group’s rebirth and evolution as artists. According to their agency, Pledis Entertainment, the title embodies SEVENTEEN’s aspirations to emerge as a ‘new SEVENTEEN’ with this release.

Remarkably, HAPPY BURSTDAY drops on the exact date of the group’s debut — May 26, 2015 — making this release even more special as it commemorates their 10th anniversary. Known for their relentless pursuit of growth and creative experimentation, SEVENTEEN now stands as a global Super IDOL, praised for their strong teamwork, fearless evolution, and deep connection with their devoted fandom, known as CARAT.

SEVENTEEN has also been turning heads with their unconventional promotional tactics. Following their fan meeting in March, the group flashed the mysterious message “2025. 05. 26. HAPPY BURSTDAY” on a large screen, prompting widespread speculation. Shortly after, a dramatic video featuring a scorched invitation was released online, fueling curiosity among fans. The new teaser further unveiled the group’s packed calendar for the year.

“In honor of their 10th debut anniversary, SEVENTEEN will not only release their fifth full-length album but also engage with global CARATs through a variety of content and performances,” stated a representative from Pledis Entertainment. “We hope fans anticipate and support all the milestones SEVENTEEN is about to achieve.”

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is set to meet their Japanese fans soon at the SEVENTEEN 2025 JAPAN FAN MEETING ‘HOLIDAY’. The event will take place at Kyocera Dome Osaka on April 24, 26, and 27, followed by two shows at Saitama Super Arena on May 10 and 11.
