Seocho-dong Spotlights Young Attorneys in tvN’s Legal Dramedy Premiering This July

First look at tvN drama Seocho dong with Lee Jong suk Moon Ga young Kang You seok in legal roles

tvN is gearing up to unveil its latest weekend series, Seocho-dong, a heartwarming and realistic portrayal of five entry-level lawyers navigating their professional lives in Korea’s famed legal district. Slated for release this July, the drama offers a fresh perspective on the highs and lows of young attorneys who work in Seocho-dong’s bustling law firms.

Based on the real-life experiences of writer Lee Seung-hyun, who previously worked as a lawyer, and directed by Park Seung-woo known for his cinematic visual flair, the drama promises a unique blend of authenticity and style.

Leading the cast are Lee Jong-suk as Ahn Joo-hyung, the most seasoned associate in the firm; Moon Ga-young as Kang Hee-ji, a passionate first-year lawyer; and Kang You-seok as the hyperenergetic Jo Chang-won. Supporting them are Ryu Hye-young as Bae Moon-jung, the charismatic leader of the group’s lunch gatherings, and Lim Sung-jae as Ha Sang-gi, the soft-spoken yet relatable co-worker.

Recently released preview photos offer a glimpse into their daily grind, showcasing late-night office scenes with lights on 24/7, symbolic of the dedication and pressure faced by these young professionals. The script reading session revealed solid chemistry among cast members, with each bringing their character’s personality to life—from Lee Jong-suk’s composed aura to Moon Ga-young’s determined energy and Kang You-seok’s spirited charm.

The team, playfully dubbed “Attyvengers” (a clever mix of ‘Avengers’ and ‘Attorneys’), illustrates their bond not just through legal battles but also via mealtime banter, which serves as their way to decompress from the stresses of work life. From spontaneous legal wit to everyday nonsense, their warmth and camaraderie explode off the script page.

Seocho-dong is shaping up to be more than just another courtroom drama. With relatable characters and situational humor, it is expected to strike a chord with both legal professionals and general audiences when it airs this July on tvN.
