Sayuri Fujita Opens Up About Dating and Life as a Single Mom on ‘Take Off Your Shoes, Dolssing 4men’

Korean TV personality Sayuri Fujita discusses love life and raising a child on SBS Dolssing 4men

On the latest episode of the SBS variety show ‘Take Off Your Shoes, Dolssing 4men’, aired June 13, TV personality Sayuri Fujita surprised viewers with her candid commentary on dating as a single mother.

Joined by fellow guests Chaoru and Kim Seo-ah, Sayuri engaged in a refreshingly honest conversation with hosts Lee Sang-min and Lim Won-hee.

Lee Sang-min began by asking Sayuri about rumors that men tend to flee from her. Laughing, she admitted, “Most of them have run away,” revealing her dating history had more than a few abrupt endings.

She then shared a humorous story about bumping into an ex-boyfriend in Apgujeong. “I simply greeted him because I was happy to see him,” she recalled. “But he got scared and ran off!” The unexpected tale left everyone on set laughing.

When asked how exactly they ‘ran away,’ Sayuri quipped, “They slowly back away,” keeping the mood lighthearted and self-aware.

Even Lim Won-hee looked puzzled, asking, “Why do they run away?” Sayuri replied with a cheeky smile: “I don’t know. That’s why you should date me and find out.”

Chaoru added her own twist to the conversation. “I once had coffee with Sayuri’s boyfriend,” she said, then asked if they were still in contact. Sayuri replied calmly, “No—he disappeared too.”

Later in the show, Sayuri offered a more personal peek into her life priorities. “Right now, my child is the main course in life, and dating is just a side dish,” she said. “Since my son Zen was born, I’ve had little interest in men. But now that he’s six, I sometimes feel like dating again. I don’t have a boyfriend—anyone would do.”
