In a striking new photoshoot with Elle, South Korean actor Ryu Jun-yeol unveiled his defined abs and charismatic visuals that radiate fatal allure. The pictorial, released on the 22nd, showcases Ryu’s captivating presence, blending sharp aesthetics with subdued intensity.

Having garnered acclaim for his recent Netflix film ‘Revelation’, Ryu expressed gratitude and introspection about his journey with the character Min-chan. “There’s always a sense of regret when I finish a project,” he noted. “But with Min-chan, I tried to go beyond emotional depth and embrace the genre elements fully. I experimented more than expected, and hearing positive feedback means a lot.”

When asked if he’s ever felt a moment of personal ‘revelation’, Ryu reflected, “I receive revelations all the time. Nothing awakens emotions in me the way acting does. It’s immensely fulfilling when efforts materialize into societal and personal resonance. My love for this profession only grows deeper.”

Delving into the kind of stories he’s drawn to, Ryu shared, “I still favor grounded narratives. Even in genre pieces, I always seek out universal human emotions and connections.”

Reflecting on his 10-year career, he added, “Meeting new people constantly is thrilling. My personality keeps evolving, so I never fall into monotony. No two roles have ever felt the same for me.” He revealed the challenges, too: “Pain is part of the process. I avoid staying in comfort zones. Sometimes I let myself struggle purposefully—the joy of unraveling something hard is incomparable.”

As for his current dream, Ryu humbly confessed, “The word ‘dream’ feels heavy. But if I could wish for something, it’s simply to keep working. I’ve been acting hard for ten years; I’d like to continue without pause for another ten. To not stop walking—that’s my biggest dream for now.”
