Running Man’s Yoo Jae-suk and Kim Jong-kook Tease Actress Over Extreme Weight Loss

Running Man cast reacts to Ji Ye-euns extreme weight loss with humor and concern

On the June 4th episode of SBS‘s hit variety show Running Man, the cast transformed into startup CEOs exploring the Gyeonggi province. While en route, cast member Choi Daniel expressed concern over actress Ji Ye-eun‘s noticeably thinner appearance, saying, “You should eat more. Your jaw looked way too skinny on screen.”

Ji Ye-eun responded with a playful but pointed comment directed at Kim Jong-kook, “You were the first one to tell me to lose weight. Now you’re saying it’s too much?” Her commentary triggered a string of jokes from the cast, including Yoo Jae-suk, who remarked, “Your voice sounds weak. It didn’t used to be like this. Must be the lack of strength from dieting.”

The fun continued with a messy team game titled ‘Boksak Mudhyeossuda’, where players attempted to splatter opponents with colored paint using elastic bands tied to their arms and legs. Female guests Song Ji-hyo and Ji Ye-eun wore thick protective suits to avoid any awkward physical contacts. Yang Se-chan joked, “Looks like I’ll have to aim for the legs,” prompting Ji Ye-eun to stretch out jokingly saying, “Go ahead and touch!” causing comic panic from Ji Seok-jin.

In the switch round, Ji Ye-eun and Song Ji-hyo joined the offense. But Ji Ye-eun, still drained from her diet, collapsed under rubber band resistance. Kim Jong-kook told her, “See, you’ve lost so much energy from dieting,” while Yoo Jae-suk laughed, calling her “a newborn calf.” On the other hand, Song Ji-hyo powered through with surprising strength, earning her the nickname “Female Kim Jong-kook.”
