Rising Star Jo Jazz and Actor Choi Daniel Shine on MBC’s ‘Insider’
The latest episode of MBC’s hit reality show ‘Insider’ brought two unforgettable stories to viewers’ screens. On episode 348, aired on the 24th, newcomer Jo Jazz, who skyrocketed from a jazz bar owner to a chart-topping artist in just three months, shared his daily life with fans, while actor Choi Daniel set out on a fun-filled trip to Busan for his first-ever ceremonial pitch.
Jo Jazz made a sensational debut with his track ‘Morusinayo’, which topped music charts and surpassed 19 million views on his music video. The show gave fans a glimpse into Jo Jazz’s life, beginning his day at his manager’s father’s house. His manager is none other than Ahn Young-min of Roco Berry, a top composer behind hit tracks like SG Wannabe’s ‘La La La’ and Ailee’s ‘I Will Go to You Like the First Snow’.
Ahn, now doubling as his producer/manager, was seen working overnight to perfect Jo Jazz’s upcoming songs. The episode also marked the first public appearance of Jo Jazz’s beautiful wife, who supports both his schedule and styling efforts. At his personally owned jazz bar, Jo Jazz performed a mini-concert attended by celebrity friends including Lee Do-hwi, Chae Jong-seok, and Hyun Bong-sik.
Jo Jazz wowed the audience with a soulful live version of ‘Morusinayo’, followed by the exclusive live debut of two unreleased tracks written and composed by Ahn Young-min. In an emotional moment, Ahn expressed his gratitude towards Jo Jazz, saying, “You’ve brought so many good things into my life. Let’s keep making happy music together.”
Meanwhile, Choi Daniel brought laughter to viewers with his quirky morning routine–including lemon squeezing and upside-down handstands–at a hotel in Busan. Accompanied by his manager Kim Ji-hoon, he met up with his 12-year best friend, actor Han Sang-jin, who guided him through Busan. They later visited Han’s home, where joyful banter ensued while preparing for the big event.
Choi’s mission for the day was to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a Lotte Giants game. He received insider training from star pitcher Kim Won-jung and impressed the stadium crowd with his effortless and accurate throw. Topping off the day, Choi enjoyed a celebratory dinner with his manager and Han Sang-jin.
