Rising Star Cha Joo-wan Signs Exclusive Contract with Blitzway Entertainment

Cha Joo-wan joins Blitzway Entertainment after rising to fame through dramas and music videos

Cha Joo-wan, a fast-rising actor known for his roles in K-dramas and music videos, has officially signed an exclusive contract with Blitzway Entertainment, joining a roster of South Korea’s A-list talents.

“We’re thrilled to work with Cha Joo-wan, who has shown great potential and charm across various genres including web dramas, films, and entertainment shows,” said Hong Min-ki, CEO of Blitzway Entertainment. “We plan to provide full-scale support for his future endeavors.”

Previously a fashion model, Cha Joo-wan made his acting debut in the 2021 KBS 2TV school drama School 2021. He made headlines in 2023 with a standout appearance in aespa’s music video for ‘Thirsty’, and earned global praise for his lead role in the Watcha original BL drama Love Supremacy Zone.

In Love Supremacy Zone, Cha played Cha Yeo-woon, a former national track athlete with intense emotional depth. The series hit #1 on Watcha’s realtime chart and boosted Cha’s popularity, earning him the nickname “BL Prince.”

Cha’s global recognition further grew after receiving Best Actor in a Web Drama at the 2024 Asia International Film Festival (AIFF) and the Rising Star Excellence Award at the Korea Hallyu Entertainment Awards. He has continued to connect with fans through local and global fan meetings.

In 2023, Cha also starred in the film Victory, playing the confident soccer player Chun Jin-tak. As a real-life former soccer athlete, he is currently active on JTBC’s variety sports show New Journey to the West (Season 4), showcasing his athleticism and charisma as the goalkeeper of the “Newvengers” team.

Blitzway Entertainment, recently rebranded from Blitzway Studio, has reinforced its content-driven strategy and artist-focused portfolio, representing stars like Ko Du-shim, Joo Ji-hoon, Jung Ryeo-won, Moon Chae-won, and more.
