RIIZE’s Global Comeback Premiere Hits Screens from Seoul to Bangkok

South Korean K-pop sensation RIIZE has ignited international hype ahead of their comeback, thanks to a unique pre-release cinematic event titled ‘RIIZE PREMIERE’. The event, highlighting their first full-length album ‘ODYSSEY’, debuted on May 14 through the Weverse RIIZE community and continues to spread across major theaters in Asia.

The 40-minute cinematic film, comprised of all tracks from the album, offered an immersive audiovisual experience for fans. A standout event took place in Seoul on May 15 at Megabox COEX, where the group personally greeted fans during two on-site appearances. During their stage greeting, RIIZE confidently stated, “Sharing the full album via film format before release means we are that sure of our music. Please give it all your love until the official release.”

Following South Korea, the cinematic premiere extended to international theaters including MixC Cinema in China, Ichigaya Cinearts in Japan, and Major Cineplex in Thailand—each filled with excited local fans echoing the film’s global success. Screenings at Megabox in Korea will continue through May 18, confirming the group’s massive traction right up to the comeback date.

The online premiere gathered fans from over 125 countries—including the United States, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Malaysia—creating a synchronized global viewing phenomenon that showcased RIIZE’s growing international influence.

RIIZE’s highly anticipated first studio album ‘ODYSSEY’ is poised for release on May 19 at 6PM KST on all major music platforms. It features 10 tracks including the title single ‘Fly Up’, the viral YouTube hit ‘Bag Bad Back’ which topped Korea’s trending videos chart, and ‘Ember to Solar’.

With this cinematic premiere paving the way, RIIZE’s comeback is positioning itself not just as a K-pop event, but a global cultural moment.
