RIIZE Lands Global Chart Domination with Debut Studio Album ‘ODYSSEY’
K-pop powerhouse RIIZE is taking the global stage by storm with the release of their debut full-length album ‘ODYSSEY’, launched on May 19. The album’s lead single ‘Fly Up’ has already soared to the top of various domestic and international music charts, cementing the group’s rapid rise as one of K-pop’s biggest new forces.
Within hours of release, ‘Fly Up’ claimed the No. 1 spot on Melon’s HOT100, peaked at No. 3 on the Melon TOP100, and topped both Bugs real-time chart and VIBE’s Rising Chart. Even more impressively, all ten tracks from the album successfully entered the Melon TOP100, proving the explosive popularity and loyalty of RIIZE’s fanbase.
Internationally, the response has been just as phenomenal. In China, QQ Music saw ‘ODYSSEY’ debut at No. 1 on its digital album sales chart during the pre-order period. The album reached platinum certification within five minutes of release, surpassing 1 million RMB in sales.
In Japan, RIIZE climbed to No. 1 on AWA’s real-time chart, secured No. 2 on RecoChoku’s daily album ranking, and ranked No. 4 on LINE MUSIC’s real-time TOP100, making clear their rising influence across Asia.
To celebrate the launch, RIIZE held a spectacular album showcase at the Blue Square SOL Travel Hall in Seoul. The event was streamed live globally via YouTube, TikTok, and Weverse, giving fans in 130 regions a first look at performances for title track ‘Fly Up’ and the high-energy B-side ‘Bag Bad Back’.
During the showcase, the group recalled their first impression of ‘Fly Up’. “Everyone instantly knew this was the one. We couldn’t wait to share it,” they said. “It’s been 11 months since our last release, and the anticipation makes this comeback even more meaningful.”
‘ODYSSEY’ notably defines RIIZE’s musical identity, featuring 10 tracks rooted in their original genre known as ‘Emotional Pop’. The album represents both a narrative and sonic journey, capturing the raw energy and heartfelt storytelling of youth.
