Returning with ‘Interlunar’: Yugyeom’s Journey from Youth to Manhood
Yugyeom Talks Music, Growth, and His Second Album
Yugyeom, an artist known for his captivating artistry and dynamic performances, recently graced the pages of Arena Homme Plus for their July issue. In an engaging interview and photoshoot, he opened up about his journey as a musician and the inspirations behind his latest album, ‘Interlunar’.
The Transition
With his second full-length album ‘Interlunar,’ Yugyeom aims to depict the final moments of boyhood and the commencement of manhood. This collection of music reflects not just personal growth but also musical maturity. “I wanted to show the duality that exists within me,” he shared, alternating between playful tunes and earnest discussions about his craft.
Connecting with Fans Through Music
The album title, ‘Interlunar,’ which means ‘a period when the moon is not visible,’ symbolizes Yugyeom’s desire to stay connected with his fans, even during times of absence. “I haven’t been able to release an album for a year and a half, so I wanted to create songs for my fans to enjoy,” he explained. “The most important thing was to ensure that the wait didn’t feel long or tedious.”
Taking Inspiration from MMA
Yugyeom also reflected on the lessons he’s drawn from unrelated disciplines such as MMA. “Being able to focus in a moment is what makes a professional,” he said, emphasizing that this applies to making music as well. “You need to have the skill to act without hesitation, and that’s similar in both music and MMA.”
The July issue of Arena Homme Plus features Yugyeom’s vibrant and diverse photoshoot along with this candid interview, offering a deeper look into the mind of an artist who continuously evolves and influences the music world.
