QWER Ignites Japanese Stage with Energetic Debut at KCON JAPAN 2025

Kpop rock band QWER wows Japanese fans at KCON JAPAN 2025 with dynamic performances and heartfelt lyrics

Korean all-female band QWER—consisting of members Chodan, Magenta, Hina, and Siyeon—lit up the stage at KCON JAPAN 2025, held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, from May 10th to 11th. Their first-ever appearance at KCON marked an unforgettable debut with high-energy performances and heartfelt storytelling through music.

QWER delivered a dazzling opening on the ARTIST STAGE with “My Name is Clear,” instantly captivating the audience with their vibrant band sound. Their Japanese rendition of debut track “Discord” received a roaring response, solidifying their growing fanbase in Japan. They followed up with “Fake Idol” and “SODA,” showcasing their unique musical flavor that blends pop-punk vibes with raw authenticity.

On the M COUNTDOWN STAGE, the band unveiled a special KCON version of “Addicted to Worry,” featuring an extended instrumental intro. Beginning with Chodan’s punchy drumbeat, Magenta’s rich bass groove and Hina’s sharp guitar lines layered seamlessly before culminating in Siyeon’s refreshing vocals—imbuing the stage with the band’s signature youth anthem soundscape.

Using a 360-degree stage to full effect, QWER connected closely with fans while performing their signature megaphone choreography, amplifying the mood with their dynamic stage presence.

The highlight of their set was the emotional premiere of their self-written and self-composed track Youth Pledge. The song tells the story of QWER’s bond and journey together through the metaphor of holding hands through turbulent waves, pledging to walk toward the light. Its emotional lyrics and harmonious vocals deeply moved the crowd, reflecting the group’s growth both musically and personally.

Coming up, QWER will continue their international push with their first fan concert “QWER The 1st Fan Concert ‘1, 2, QWER! in TAIPEI’” on May 14th at Zepp New Taipei. The band also has plans for a highly-anticipated comeback in Korea in early June.
