‘Queen’s House’ Sparks Emotional Conflict and Family Turmoil
The latest episode of KBS 2TV’s gripping daily drama Queen’s House (Ep.5) throws viewers into emotional chaos as the strained relationship between Kang Jae-in (played by Ham Eun-jung) and Hwang Ki-chan (played by Park Yoon-jae) reaches a boiling point. The tension stems from the kidnapping of their son, Hwang Eun-ho (played by Yeo Si-on), which reveals layers of betrayal and misunderstanding.
In the storyline leading up to the confrontation, Jae-in discovers that the mastermind behind Eun-ho’s abduction is none other than Hwang Ki-man (played by Kang Sung-min). Despite the shock, she seeks out Ki-man to confirm the truth, only to be met with a heartfelt apology as he, along with Roh Sook-ja (played by Lee Bo-hee) and Do Yoo-kyung (played by Cha Min-ji), kneels before her.
However, this act of contrition sparks further conflict. Hwang Ki-chan, witnessing the scene, misinterprets it as Jae-in humiliating his family and explodes with anger. Jae-in’s attempts to explain are swiftly dismissed, and the emotional gulf between the couple deepens. Adding fuel to the fire, Sook-ja pretends to side with Jae-in while secretly encouraging her son’s resentment.
The rising discord escalates dramatically when a heated argument culminates in a shocking remark from Ki-chan that leaves Jae-in speechless. Just when it seems matters couldn’t get worse, Sook-ja collapses, pushing the household into further disarray and making Jae-in the scapegoat of an already volatile situation.
Even Yoo-kyung, once a supportive friend and sister-in-law, turns cold towards Jae-in, raising the stakes on how she’ll navigate this growing adversity. With public opinion shifting and family ties cracking, today’s broadcast promises a turbulent journey for Jae-in.
The new episode of Queen’s House airs today, June 2, at 7:50 PM KST on KBS 2TV.
